Part 32 - check up

Sapphires POV
After Ethan proposed to me, we went back to our place, and just snuggled with Alaska, watched movies and talked about everything in life. When I had finally drifted off to sleep on his shoulder, just before I fall asleep I hear him mumble
"You are my one and only."
It only felt like 10 minutes but when E wakes me up from my nap it's already 4:56pm meaning I slept for 2 hours. I get up off of my fiancé and make my way into the kitchen to get some food. I see the calendar on the wall and walk over to it to see if we have anything going on.
December 12th, 2018: Doctors appointment for baby @ 5:30pm
Crap. I run over to E and say, "come on we have the babies appointment today and the doctor is 30 minutes away"
I take his arm and pull him up from the couch dragging him to the door, where we both put our shoes on and quickly leave the apartment. We drove in the car in complete silence and the whole time a had a smile across my face.
When we pull up to the doctors I jump out happily and make my way inside with Ethan trailing behind me.
"Hi welcome, how can I help you guys today?"
"We have an appointment at 5:30 for an ultrasound"
The receptionist looks down at her computer and quickly types something before looking back up at us.
"The doctor will see you soon please take a seat in the waiting area"
I grab E's hand as we make our way to the seats and I nervously shake my leg. When the doctor calls us back I sit on the edge of the chair and smile up at her.
She looks down at her notes and then back up at us "you guys are here for the first checkup for the baby?"
I nod my head excitedly. "Just lay down and relax" she says
She turns the lights off in the room and the computer screen glows. She puts the cool gel on my stomach and a giggle a bit at the coldness. I look at E who is smiling happily at the monitor. I see a little blob of a baby on the screen and smile. Not even a second later when she moves the thing over there is a second blob. My heart stops for a minute as she continues to look at the baby(s).
When the doctor finishes she cleans everything up and smiles at me.
"Congratulations it looks like you have twins, and it looks to be that you are around 2 months!"
