Sapphires p.o.v
As soon as I connected the words mom and dead it hit me hard. I threw my back up against the car seat and started to cry, curling my knees up to my face and ticking my face into my knees. I rocked back and forth and I felt a hand land on my back rubbing up and down. I knew it was Ethan and so I leaned up against him placing my face in his shirt, getting makeup all over it.
"Baby it's okay"
"N-no Ethan, SHES DEAD!"
Ethan's expression remained calm and I instantly felt bad for snapping at him.
"Sorry, I just can't comprehend this" I explained
He nods and hugs me
"Do you want to go to the hospital"
I nod my head and buckle once again. He starts driving, placing his hand on mine rubbing circles in the back of my hand with his thumb.
When we get there I can feel the tears threatening to spill again. I god. I can't cry in front of everybody. I hold them in and walk into the hospital, saying my mom name and head in Up to the second floor like they said.
When I got there I see my mom laying there with nothing but a blanket over her. I sit down next to her as E comes up and starts rubbing my back once again in support.
"Mom, I love you and I'm so sorry I haven't been saying it. I hope you are okay and happy. I'm going to miss you so much I don't know what I'm going to do without you" I start tearing up and stand up and grab E's hand. Before I leave Ethan turns around and says, "don't worry I'll take care of her, I love her"
My heart melts as I grab Ethan's hand and we walk down.
We get in the car and I decide that I still want to go to Hawaii. After all that happened I just need to clear my mind.
"Babe?"
"Yes princess"
"Can we still go to Hawaii?"
"Are you sure, after what happened"
I nod, "I want to clear my mind and just be with you"
He weakly smiles and nod and so we head back to the airport.
Of course since we missed our first flight we have to wait hours for the second one so we decide to order some food.
Hours later...
"Now boarding the flight to Hawaii"
We both get up and hand the tickets to the guy walking into the plane. We sit down with me taking the window seat and I just look out the window.
"Do you want to watch a movie"
"Sure" I shrug
I cuddle into Ethan as he turns on the movie.
"I love you" he says
"I love you too, thanks for saying that at the hospital"
"I'm always here for you No matter what, I just want you to be happy"
I kiss him and sit back cuddling back into him. I just need a distraction from the chaos that just happened, and I know I can always rely on him for that.
