Chapter 7
{Hiccup's P.O.V}
How odd this one is... how very odd. I thought Merida was interesting... but this one-- she's on a whole new level!
I mean, Merida is fun... pretty... silly... and when she blushes, she's really cute... but most of the time, she likes to hit me. Like how an older brother teases a younger brother. She's also told me many times: "Ye big ol' flirt!!! Best friends don't do that, ye silly goose!"
Well... I guess that's one of her charms...?
The more I think about it, the more I think of her as a friend and not an interest.
Best friends? Already? On the first day? She's really friendly, but I think that's as far as she can go... the word 'romance' doesn't really come to mind when she hears 'boyfriend'.
This is the first time this has ever happened to me... I'm known for a good eye. Once I'm interested in someone, there's no doubt we'll get together. In the beginning, I was interested in Merida, right? So why do I feel so...
"I can't find it!!!" Suddenly, Elsa came to mind. I couldn't help but laugh a little.
How tremendously silly of her...
Whenever I think of her, I feel like my shoulders have become alot lighter...
...but what am I saying? What am I thinking? Am I interested in her?
No... no way. I've got a good eye. My eyes have never decieved me, so why do I feel this sudden attraction towards her...?
She doesn't dress well... her hair seems to always be in a mess... she's shy and unsociable... so why do I feel so fond of her?
"Ah! W... we're here!" Elsa suddenly spoke.
"Perfect... let's head inside," I said. She nodded as she continued to follow me.
You know what... how could I let something like this shake me? Why should I, Hiccup, a cool, geeky genius known for his good eye, be bothered by just two girls?
"Ah... welcome welcome... now, take a seat," said a woman who seemed to be the teacher.
The room was quite big. It had small counters with sinks and microwave ovens arranged in rows, with two fridges and many compartments to store dry ingredients and cooking utensils.
Elsa and I sat at a counter that wasn't too far from the front of the room, and soon began to listen to the teacher.
"Welcome, students, to the home economics class! A place where you can test your cooking abilities as well as your strength in making good food!" She joked, a few kids laughing.
"My name is Johanna Silver, but you can all just call me Miss Silver. Today, you shall partner up and work together to make a cake! You can either bake one that you remember making before, or bake one that you see inside these recipe books!" A few students were handing two, pocket-sized recipe books to each counter.
"There's no need to go around, looking and bumping into one another to find a perfect partner... because you will all partner up with the people beside you. Now enough talking, and start baking!" She said enthusiastically as she clapped her hands.
"Okay, so what kind of cake should we-" I turned to Elsa, only to see her focused on one of the cake recipes.
Please... just please tell me she's looking at the recipe for chocolate cake. You guys might not get it, but my pride in this class just shot up high into the sky as soon as I stepped into this room.
