Chapter 11

{Elsa's P.O.V}

It was silent as Jack walked me home. The only thing I could hear were the echoes of our footsteps against the sidewalk.

The closer we got towards my house, the more nervous and tense I got.

I even lost count on how many times I opened my mouth and said nothing to break the silence.

Then, a voice suddenly sliced through the awkward atmosphere.

"Ignore him."

It was Jack.

I looked at him, confused.

"Tomorrow, just ignore Hiccup... he doesn't deserve your attention after hurting you like that," he continued.

Jack... he was right... about Hiccup hurting me.

That time when he kissed Merida... and when he had ignored me... it was painful.

But... I don't think I can take ignoring Hiccup.

"I know what you're thinking, but you should take a break-- from him. I mean, you've just finished bawling your eyes out and tomorrow you're just gonna act like nothing happened? Yeah, I don't think so," Jack added.

He had a point... after all those events, I think I could use some time to re-collect and organize myself.

I nod in reply.

"Now that I've got that out of my system... you owe me a new shirt."

My eyes opened wide.

How could I forget such a thing?!

I had just previously been hugged by Jack-- one of the most popular boys in the school-- and had just cried my heart out in his arms!

I could tell I was blushing right then and there, and so I looked away to hide my face.

"Oh? It seems our little snowflake has remembered how to fall..."

Jack and his confusing words.

"Anyways, after snotting all over my shirt-- you must now buy me a new one."

I looked back at him, biting my lips to avoid having the embarassment show on my face.

"Of course, I should be there with you when you buy it," Jack then added.

Hearing that, I almost fell over. He raised one of his brows at the sight.

"What? Did you honestly think I was gonna let you freely buy me a shirt, just like that? A lot of clothing brands produce the same sizes with alot of differences, so I've got to try on some of the shirts... and I can't have you choosing something ugly for me, can I?" Jack explained.

Right, and right...

"This weekend, we'll go to the mall together," he said as he smiled misheviously.

I stared at him, not even having the slightest hint of what could be lying behind that smile.

It wasn't long before we were standing on the porch of my house.

"So... Saturday at 4:00?"

I nodded, grabbing the key for the door out of my bag.
