Chapter 21
{Elsa's P.O.V}
"Oh, Elsa, I don't know if you're ready for this." Jack's voice was able to snap me back into reality.
"Hold onto your dress, 'cause the real show is about to start." Without even seeing him, I could imagine the smirk on his face. I could feel the corners of my mouth creep up, but it was soon overtaken by embarrassment as the employee who put the number plate on his change room door snickered nearby.
"J-Jack... just come out already..." I said, putting my head down and shielding my eyes away from the direction of the employee.
The change room door clicked and swung open, and as I had predicted— he tried on the deep blue flannel first, opened and unbuttoned, with his dark grey shirt underneath. Jack was leaning against the door frame with a hand on his hip and looked at me with expectant eyes.
And, just as I had also predicted— he looked... great... gorgeous even. If Jack really wanted to, he could pull off a trash bag with even more girls swooning over him than before. He could drop out of school to go into professional modelling and agencies would fight over him.
"My Queen, I think you've got a little drool dripping down right there." Jack smiled as he pointed to the corner of his lips.
Hearing him call me that made my heart jump.
But wait..
...I... was I... staring?! Not to mention...
I shut my mouth as I realized it was slightly agape as if it was about to say something.
Oh no... don't tell me there's actual drool, too?!
Flustered, I turn away to quickly wipe the corners of my lips— only to find them perfectly dry.
I could hear Jack snort while trying to contain a laugh. With my eyes shut, I slowly look back in his direction.
Please, could I really embarrass myself in front of him anymore than I already have?
I opened my eyes and was greeted by Jack clearing his throat, attempting to not let out a laughter I knew would make me feel like disappearing right then and there.
"Here, let me see how it looks in a different way... in the meanwhile you can check out how good the skull looks on me." He said confidently, of course, as he turned around.
From the corner of one of the other change room mirrors, I could see the employee that snickered before staring at Jack— eyes glued to him. I mean, I'm not surprised. The deep blue of the flannel complimented his eyes and, as he started to turn around to button up the shirt, his back was well-defined and I couldn't help but stare at the nape of his neck.
"I gotta hand it to ya, Elsa, I wouldn't have expected you, of all people, to choose a shirt that would suit me so well." Jack said, rolling up the sleeves to his forearm now.
"W-wha..!!" I was well aware I wasn't the best-dressed person around... nor was I somebody who possessed the best fashion sense— or even any at all for that matter, but having a sister as fashionable as Anna as well as constantly being surrounded by others like Merida and Rapunzel, I had some pride in knowing what would suit or perhaps look good on people... just not with myself.
"Why you-" Before I could say anything— although I have no idea what I would've said— Jack turned around, still fiddling with one of the cuffs of his sleeve.
And as if this was some big cliché reveal in those movies, it was like I saw it in slow motion. All but three of his top shirt buttons were done, and the rolled up sleeves brought emphasis on his chest and shoulders. A casual-cool look.
