F̺͆i̺͆r̺͆s̺͆t̺͆ l̺͆i̺͆e̺͆s̺͆ t̺͆o̺͆ a̺͆ l̺͆i̺͆a̺͆r̺͆

(There will be OumaSai a bit later on, just bear with me.. ;) this is just the build-up.)

Kokichi instantly turned around to try and find the tall boy but he was nowhere to be seen. A smile creeped onto his face because he had no idea how the boy knew his name. Kokichi had always liked games and mysteries and this boy was no exception. He was the biggest mystery Kokichi had ever come across and he was determined to work out what was up with the navy haired boy.

Kokichi sniggered to himself before walking off to his dormitory mischievously.

Shuichi on the other hand, had no idea that he had messed up. He headed back into the gym to find Kaede once again. As he remembered, everyone was panicking. They had just been told that they were participating in a Killing game. As soon as Shuichi opened the door to let himself in, everyone stared at him in shock.

Kaede instantly ran upto him and exclaimed with tears in her eyes, "W-we're in a k-killing game.."

Shuichi acted shocked. "W-what?!"

"Great acting skills Shuichi!" Monomi suddenly cheered making Shuichi jump.

Kaede continued, tears building in her eyes, "Monokuma said that we have to kill each other!!"

"Monokuma? What's that?" Shuichi exclaimed, keeping up his act.

Kaede then explained everything Shuichi had missed from when the killing game was explained to them. Nothing had changed since the last time except that he knew what was ahead of them. He knew all the death and the torment and no way was he going to let that happen again.

Kaede looked at Shuichi, "I'm going to protect you, okay? No matter what."

Shuichi awkwardly averted his gaze away from her, he knew he couldn't protect her. He knew she was going to die thinking she murdered Rantaro when she didn't.

Short time skip..

Shuichi was walking down the corridor trying to find his room. Monokuma had appeared a few minutes earlier and informed him of what was happening. He acted shocked, of course. He hated lying to everyone but he knew he had to.

Monokuma had also given them their room keys. Shuichi remembered pretty much everything about the killing game but for some reason.. he couldn't find the dorm rooms anywhere.

The heard footsteps coming from behind him so he turned around. It was the purple-haired liar Kokichi Ouma who was running towards him. Shuichi stopped still then waited for a seconds for Kokichi to finish running up to him.

When he reached Shuichi, he was out of breath.

Shuichi walked backwards from Kokichi awkwardly as he had never been in this exact situation before where Kokichi had ran up to him. It was... weird.

"Trying to stay away from me are you?" He bragged, "I'm Kokichi Ouma, the Ultimate Supreme Leader y'know?"

Shuichi clenched his fists subtly, "I'm not in the mood for you right now.. Kokichi."

"Nice to meet you?" Shuichi replied, raising his voice at the end of the sentence to make it seem like he was asking a question.

"I'm the leader of a secret evil organisation." Kokichi continued to brag, putting his hand on his hip.

Shuichi desperately tried to seem surprised but he just looked annoyed or fed up. Which he was. Why couldn't Kokichi just tell the truth?! It annoyed him so much as he remembered that his lies were the reason that people died.

Miu, Gonta... Kaito.

"Leave me alone." 

"My secret organisation has over ten thousa— Wait... huh?" Kokichi stopped himself after realising what the tall, blue-haired guy had just said.

Shuichi shook his head, almost in disgust, before continuing to walk down the corridor away from Kokichi leaving him dumbfounded. 

Around 20 minutes later..

Shuichi was sitting on his bed, his head in his hands. He had no idea how difficult it would be to see everyone again. When he first walked into that entrance hall and saw everyone, he could see them the ways that they had been murdered or executed. 

He needed to get those thoughts out of his head. 

He could change everything. 

"You were pretty harsh on Kokichi today." 

Shuichi jumped up, shocked at hearing the sudden voice. After a few deep breaths, he finally replied. "Don't do that Monomi.. you scared me..." 

"Oh, my apologies."

"I thought I could get along with him, start new.. but when he told me those lies.. it brought back so many memories. I just couldn't deal with him today Monomi, after all he's done.." Shuichi insisted.

Monomi sighed the continued to persuade Shuichi, "This version of Kokichi hasn't done the things the other version has. He isn't the same person but if you don't help him, things will turn out the same." 

Shuichi didn't reply. 

"He isn't the same person Shuichi, turn over a new leaf and start again.. okay?" Monomi spoke, cheerfully.

Shuichi didn't reply for a few minutes. "I don't know if I can.. knowing what he did to everyone. He taunted us to the end then made Kaito a murderer... I don't ever know if I can ever forgive him..." 

Monomi's smile faltered for a second before restarting back. "Forgive him, get to know him properly and he won't turn out that way. I promise you." 

"You promise?" 

Monomi nodded and Shuichi took a deep breath.

Kokichi I'm going to try and forgive you, it might take some time but I'm going to try. 

I'm going to get to know you this time, properly. I promise.
