"First of all, tell me your account of what happened on the roof."
Those were the assassin's first words.
They had arranged themselves in a circle, facing opposite each other, pictures of all the original students of the killing game, those that were dead having their own distinct red crosses over their faces. Together they had made the decision to work solely in Shuichi's dorm room, that being the only place in the entire academy guaranteed not to have any cameras.
Although that resulted in leaving Shuichi alone.. something neither of them were extremely happy with.. however, Kokichi had organised a backup plan, and it was actually remarkably clever, although Maki would never admit it, she would never give Kokichi the satisfaction of her verification.
The plan went as followed:
Monomi would be the one to look after Shuichi. This was perfect, because no other students except from Shuichi himself and Kokichi could even see the rabbit, causing whoever might enter the room not to be suspicious. If something did happen, Monomi would call out for the purple haired liar and they would both run to the hospital room and interrogate whoever it was.. dealing with them appropriately.
Kokichi narrowed his eyes. Although they had a verbal agreement not to lie or hide any important details from each other.. it seemed to him that Maki was back to accusing him.
But he didn't have any time to cause another fight.
He crossed his arms and started to talk, not having realised how difficult this was really going to be. "I went up to the roof and I called out for him.. and I saw him clinging onto the metal bars, separating the roof from the.. edge. I told him to y'know, get away from the edge because he was.. he was just so close to it.. nishi.."
Maki decided not to say anything and instead, just let Kokichi finish his side of things.
"He shook his head and didn't even bother to turn around to face me, I know, rude right? Shu.. he put one of his feet onto the bars and I screamed like a kid for him not to do it. I'm not stupid, I thought I knew what he was doing, but it just seemed so outta character for him, maybe he was getting a closer look.. but he.. he.." He began to shake, starting to break down once again, having to go over it was even worse than seeing it originally.. the vivid memories that were served with every word.. "..He shouted out to me to stay where I was because I said I'd come with him.. he was shouting at me, he'd never done that before.. he looked so scared, so angry.. so terrified..I wanted to come with him, I wanted to jump with him.. W-Why wouldn't he let me?! Why would he leave me all alone?! Why.. W-WHY WOULD HE DO THAT? I CAN'T GO ON WITHOUT H.." Kokichi slapped a hand to his mouth and screamed into it, forcing himself to shut up, shut up, shut up!
