(self harm mentioned (edited on 15th April 2019)

Shuichi sat on his bed in his room, his hands covering his face.

It was too much. Everything was too much.

Shuichi had left just as he saw the end of Kaede's execution. That was the second time he had seen her being executed but this time hurt much more than the first.. because the first time, she was happy to go, she was at peace. This time however, she was scared and she was bitter.

She had insulted Shuichi to the core, exposing all of his floors and anxieties to everyone just to hurt him.

It just.. hurt having everyone know. It hurt him so much that his heart ached, why did she have to expose him like that, rip apart through every single detail of his belief in himself with such a unrelenting hardship.

Shuichi slowly lifted his head up from his hands then layed his hands down on to rest on his legs. After a few moments, he readjusted his head down towards one of his arms.

He pulled up the sleeve in once swift move. They still ached.. and rippled and were risen above the surface of his skin as if they were secret messages in brail.

It turned out that going back in time didn't effect the scars. They were exactly the same as always. He thought.. maybe, when he went back, they wouldn't be there anymore. Yet there they were, holding a prominent placement upon his arm.

"So they didn't..." he couldn't take his eyes off them and simply stared down.

Suddenly there was a knock at his door. Shuichi looked up, alarmed that someone might want to talk to him. Kaito? It had to be, it wouldn't be anyone else.

Shuichi yanked his sleeve back down, biting his lip as he did so and went to answer the door. His steps were slow and he was dragging his feet along the ground. In the past, Shuichi's depression used to be a lot worse, whereas now, it was just lingering on like it was a hitchhiker who was refusing to let go or leave, just there overbearing.

Just as he was reaching for the handle of the door, the door swung open, narrowly missing hitting Shuichi in the face, exposing Kokichi kneeling towards the lock holding a hair pin.

"Ah!" Shuichi screamed, weirdly high pitched.

Kokichi looked up at him. From the position the both of them were in, from the perspective of anyone walking past them, it looked like Kokichi was proposing.

Kokichi didn't move his position. "Will you ma—" He asked, well aware of what the situation looked like.

"What?! No!" Shuichi exclaimed, freaking out more than he should. Even though it was obvious that it was joke.

"Awww," Kokichi sulked, pressing his lips together to form a feminine pout.

Even though Shuichi had seen this face from Kokichi many times before, he found it kind of cute.. no! Not cute. Annoying.

Kokichi got up, dusted himself down then pushed past Shuichi excitedly and headed into his room. Shuichi couldn't stop him, due to the shock of the situation.. this hadn't happened before..

Shuichi followed Kokichi into his room then watched the smaller boy trot round his room, looking at all of his stuff with a puzzled face.

Kokichi looked back at him then placed a hand on his hip and stared at him, expecting him to say something. When he didn't, he huffed impatiently then spoke. "You gonna keep staring at me like that? Go on, take a photo, it'll last longer!"

Shuichi was caught of guard, "Uh—uhhh.."

Kokichi smirked, "Having some trouble finding your words? Fine!! I'll help you, you probably want to say something along the lines of 'Why are you here?!' or 'What do you want!' well, if case you forgot, I'm Kokichi Ouma and I need to talk to you."

Shuichi was still frozen.

"What's wrong? You haven't moved in ages, it's creepy." Kokichi stated, one eyebrow raised, "Close the door then."

Shuichi nodded then closed the door to the room, shutting him and Kokichi inside. It was in this moment where he finally realised the situation he was in.. he was in his room with Kokichi Ouma, who came to him, at night.. He let his mind wonder for a few moments before shutting down his thoughts.. let's just say they weren't exactly.. 'Child-friendly'..

Shuichi knew he was bisexual. He thought he was straight at first but he quickly realised that the thoughts he was having about guys weren't exactly 'straight' thoughts... He had to admit that when he first saw Kaede, he thought she was attractive but after her first execution, he had get rid of the romantic feelings he had for her otherwise it would eat him up inside and eventually... the romantic feelings were gone.

He thought Rantaro was pretty hot when he first saw him but he died as well, that attraction was.. short-lived, he had to admit even Kokichi had a few cute features..

It was like everyone he 'liked' ended up dying. A crush in a killing game was a stupid idea so he had promised himself not to get involved with anything to do with 'crushes' or 'romance'.

"You've been staring directly into my eyes for like five minutes." Kokichi smirked, snapping Shuichi out of his thoughts.

Shuichi took a moment to assess how weird the situation must have looked. I mean, have you ever zoned out, lost deep within your own thoughts.. and when you snapped out of it, you realise that you'd been staring at someone without blinking for at least ten minutes straight? (I know I have.)

"Ah, uh.. sorry." Shuichi apologised, "What did you want to talk to me about?"

Kokichi's childish smile turned swiftly into a more serious, sinister one. "I just wanted to know.." Kokichi started, in an accusing tone which made Shuichi feel slightly unnerved, "When we first met, you called me by my name.. I hadn't told you my name."

It was at this moment Shuichi knew, he fucked up.

"I overheard you talking about 'how are girl needs to die' way before the murder happened. You're comfortable with Monokuma, while everyone is still creeped out, you're just hanging around like it's normal! Not to mention the reaction you gave to me when I grabbed your arm, you literally clawed my arm off you!" Kokichi started laughing, "You're a mystery. You knew about the murder before it happened! How's that even possible?!"

Kokichi paused and looked at Shuichi expectantly.

Shuichi was frozen. He had no idea how he was going to explain his way out of this.

"I'm waiting mysterious guy! Come on, I know you can speak! Or have you forgotten how to?!" Kokichi shouted as sarcastically as he could, "I'm waiting!
