Kokichi slowly crawled out from beneath the desk and blankly wandered over, with shaking legs, to Shuichi's bed, which he found himself almost collapsing onto. He was gripping to the letter as if his life depended on it.. but was equally as terrified by what could be inside it.
It's not every day that you get a chance to read a letter from your.. boyfriend, Kokichi took a deep breath. No, it was true that they had never taken time to clarify what they were, but when Shuichi woke up, because he was going to wake up.. he would make sure that he was his boyfriend; he would ask him as soon as he got a chance too.
Because he never wanted to leave him ever again.
Nothing could change that. Not even this stupid letter.
But if that was true, why did his heart twist in his chest, his legs give way beneath him, and his throat constrict like he was suffocating..
Ever since Shuichi had left his side, Kokichi had learnt a new fact about himself, a scary and worrying weakness. And that was the chilling fear of being alone.
He didn't ever want to be alone ever again. No, he couldn't be alone.
He switched back his attention to the letter. Kokichi started to open it when he froze.
What if it said something that he couldn't bare to be the truth.. what if Shuichi blamed him for everything, what if he said that he drove him t- he exhaled a breath.
Sure the handwriting was identical and the wording was the same.. but what if it wasn't. Shuichi's.. fall had always been in the back of his mind, and that was mainly because something didn't just set right with him about the whole ordeal.
It just seemed too sudden and too.. there were no words to explain what the feeling was.. maybe a gut instinct, it was just something wrong.
Kokichi opened the letter in one gesture, ripping the paper open with no hesitation whatsoever. Whatever was in that letter wasn't going to change how he felt at all.
'Kokichi.
If you're having to read this letter, then something unfortunate must of happened. I hope that I didn't put you in any danger whatsoever because that's the last thing that I would ever want for you.
All I used to ever want was to save everyone's lives, unlike the original version of the game that I was in, in which too many good people succumbed to the pressure and motives that Monokuma set.
But it seems that my plan didn't work out and I failed, Himiko and Miu dying when I could have done something to save them. There is a mastermind of this killing game but I am not going to tell you who it is because I fear that you may do something that can't be undone. The mastermind has been working against me behind the scenes for quite a while to my knowledge and is responsible for more than you could ever anticipate.
If that mastermind finds out that you know who they are.. they'll find a way to silence you. Telling you would put you at a greater risk.. so unfortunately, I have to keep you in the dark. You need to figure out who it is by yourself, I'll leave a short list of people that you are able to trust attached to this letter.
Leaving this letter is dangerous in the first place, but I wanted you to know that you're not alone and you never will be. I'm sorry to even ask this but I need you to destroy this letter.. or put it somewhere for your eyes only. No one can see this apart from you, for your safety most importantly.
I'm sorry for not being able to stay with you for longer; I wanted the both of us to escape together hand in hand, when I managed to put an end to this game. But it seems that won't become a reality.
I want you to know this: whatever I did and whatever happened, I hope that you weren't hurt or put in any sort of danger because of my purely ignorant actions. I would do anything to save you, but please do not blame yourself. It was not your fault. If I know you as well as I think I do, then you may need some sort of confirmation.
I would never leave you on purpose.
You need to put an end to this game Kokichi, and you and all the others need to escape. All I wish for you now is for you to get out and find someone to give you the life you deserve.

By the end of the letter, Kokichi was opening weeping. No matter times he told himself that he was prepared for whatever was inside.. but he wasn't. An uncontrollable wave of tears streamed down his face as he looked over the letter again and again and again. He didn't want those to be the last words, he wanted more.. he wanted to hear Shuichi's voice in his head comforting him again.. but it wasn't there anymore.

It's really well written and they are all very good stories. They have done art for me before but this one takes the cherry on the cake. I love everything about this! It's just all so.. so ahhhh! Nothing could of prepared him for something like that. It was so perfect, yet it was exceptionally haunting if he read it correctly. There were certain details which were more than extremely worrying.
"I would never leave you on purpose."
Did that mean.. wait.. that along with..
"If that mastermind finds out that you know who they are.. they'll find a way to silence you."
That sentence made him extremely unnerved.. because the chance of it actually being the cause of Shuichi's fall. Then it hit him like a truck, no, it was more like a bullet.
The truth.
He wasn't stupid, had had just been blind to the truth up until this moment.
The mastermind had killed his Shuichi.. and now he was going to find the mastermind and make them pay.
