Just wanted to say a little note about that mean April fools joke, sorry for frightening you but I couldn't resist. My apologies for this chapter being late as well. I've been really ill recently and I wrote this all in around 18 hours, and there's been some bad home issues on top of all that.. so sorry but please enjoy!

.....
Kaito didn't really put up much of a fight as he submissively moved aside, letting the pair waltz in in absolute silence. He wasn't used to Shuichi being so forward and direct and had only really caught rare glimpses of that side of the detective when the class trials were taking place. If Shuichi was like this the majority of the time, Kaito finally realised why Shuichi and Kokichi made such a good couple, despite how odd they looked together and how ridiculous their relationship sounded in theory.

Shuichi was the type to be harsh on himself or even self destructive if he thought that he failed or if he was letting everybody down, and then he always dwelled on it afterwards, causing his anxiety to skyrocket. However, Kokichi was the type to lie and to manipulate but his attitude was always so relaxed and carefree; with a hidden caring side where he would do anything for the people he loved.. and with that, Kaito accepted how they complimented each other like two perfect jigsaw pieces.

He would never truly be all for Kokichi as a person, but he would support him individually and as Shuichi's boyfriend, oddly enough, apart from Shuichi he was the only one to have seen Kokichi on an emotional roller coaster, his incredible highs followed by devastating lows. Man, he even cried in front of him and hugged him, which was still super weird to think about actually.

Overall there was one defining truth to end it all. It was none of his business, if he was a friend then he would support and defend them, keeping whatever negative feelings he had to himself.

"You're not even questioning what Shuichi just said? Mannnnn, you really are as dumb as you look!~" That voice took him out of his thoughts. He glanced over his shoulder to see Kokichi rummaging through his wardrobe, tipping nearly all of the contents onto the floor with glee and a few cackles of tormentful laughter.

Kaito lunged forward to stop the liar, but Shuichi stopped him with a stern sentence. "He's getting rid of a camera, there are a couple in the wardrobes."

He could hear Kokichi sniggering in the background before there was a 'twang' and he emerged victoriously with two cameras in hand, shooting a cocky look towards Kaito, sticking out his tongue in an extremely childish manor before throwing them over towards Shuichi, "There ya go Shumai, two down and I don't know how many to go nishishi~" He walked over to where the detective was standing and hugged him from behind, burying his head into the crevice of the taller individual's neck, nuzzling gently. Although Shuichi was internally loving the affection, he couldn't allow it to continue due to the most recent incident whereas the mastermind attempted to end his life with the sharpest, longest blade she could find.

He gently pushed Kokichi away, only to turn to Kaito and simply say, "Please, Get Maki And Kirumi over here right now, we're running out of time.. and.." he wanted to add something but opted against it and changed his sentence halfway through, "..please hurry."

And just like a well trained puppy, Kaito scampered away, making sure to lock the door after him.

Kokichi chuckled at the behaviour, pretending not to be so jealous of how immediately Kaito took the detective's orders and how his boyfriend had practically begged the astronaut to go and find people. Okay, maybe 'begged' was overstatement, but it was close enough. Kokichi didn't hold back from dipping in one sly comment into the silence whilst Shuichi was occupied searching for the remaining hidden cameras. "I remember when you used to beg me like that, now you just take me for granted, y'know?~"
