Chapter 25

"All done!" I yelled exasperated.

I threw the rag I was holding to the mirror.

The rag was used to wipe off the stress sweat off my forehead.

I walked out of the living room and saw all the boys sitting on the couch looking like they all just back from the hospital.

I sat on the couch next to River and placed my hands in my lap.

"H-Hey guys?" I stutter nervously.

"Aw that's cute. You're nervous because you just saw how hot we can get when we fight for what we love. Don't worry were used to it, you don't have to be sh-"

"Shut up Logan." I stated tiredly.

"What's up Princess?" Jax asked amusedly.

"The ceiling..the sky..our lord in the thankful heavens..the moon, sun, space, oh! Even-" I started.

"I guess whatever you had to say wasn't that important." Jax said sighing.

"No wait I was kidding. I am really nervous about something."

"And what's that?" Seth asked as he leant forward, and rested his elbows on his knees.

"Please answer the best you can.." I said getting nervous.

They all nodded with confusion.

"Remember the guy that hurt me?" I asked looking at Jax timidly.

"THE GUY WHO WHAT?!" Jax yelled.

"Manny-Miles..Mike! Mike. You remember Mike?" I asked getting nervous.

"Yes I remember Mike." Jax nodded calming down slightly.

"Why what the fûck did he do." Jax demanded. I flinched at his tone. So much for him calming down.

"N-Nothing. I just wanted to know what you did to him..and where he went." I stated getting scared.

Jax sighed and shrugged his shoulders.

"Fûck if I know. I told him he wasn't allowed back here anymore." Jax said lacing his hands together.

His hands are gigantic...

Focus!

"A-Are you s-sure?" I asked stuttering. I always stuttered when I was severely nervous.

Jax squinted his eyes at me.

"Yes I'm pretty sure I was crystal clear. Why?" Jax asked paying attention to me.

Oh no.

"Oh no." I whispered out loud lowly.

"Brooklyn.." Jax growled.

I picked up my sight from the ground and looked up at Jax.

"I-I...H-He just scared me because he was here." I stated confused.

"Oh, he was picking up his last pay check." Seth announced.

I let out a breath of relief.

Thank God

Wait a second...then why was he giving my dog a bath.

He was probably just being generous?

...

Yeah no way I'm going near him again. I gotta steer clear from this creepo.

"Princess." I shook my head and looked up at Jax.
