Chapter 27

As I made my way up to my temporary bedroom, I couldn't help but notice how full my stomach was

I smiled to myself, and kept walking up the stairs.

I still haven't talked to Jax about how he used those negative words towards me. That talk kind of got postponed...because we had a really good moment. I had my first real kiss. And it was amazing.

Reaching my door, I opened it and went to my bed.

I opened my laptop and started watching romances movies.

I was in the middle of a pretty steamy scene when there was a knock at my door.

"Yeah?" I asked the air.

With hearing my response, the door slowly creaked open.

At first I found it funny..

But I've seen many horror movies in which scenes like this happen. I will not be the dumb and gullible girl that is in every horror movie..

Panic started rising in me as I thought of all the solutions in all the horror movies.

They all die at some point.

This is my fate.

"Not funny guys." I said sounding confident, but I was far from.

There was a creaking sound, letting me know it was the floorboard.

My breathing increased and right when I was about to scream, a body jumped out from behind the wall and into the door way.

My body jumped into the air and my laptop went with me.

Falling back onto my bed, and my laptop hitting my knees, I stared at the shadowy figure.

Just when I thought I knew who it was, it jumped out of the shadow and showed its face to me.

"RIVER YOU OFFSPRING FROM SATIN!! DONT EVER DO THAT AGAIN, YOU SCARED THE-"

My sentence was cut off my a Nerf bullet missing my face by two inches.

I looked at River and saw him grinning evilly.

My mouth hung open as I saw the Nerf gun in his hand that I had failed to notice.

Just when I opened my mouth to say something, River chucked something at me. Confused, I caught the extra Nerf gun he tossed to me.

"Let's go. You're on my team" River said evilly.

I looked at the gun, then at him.

I smirked. "Okay"

River and I ran down the huge house with our loaded Nerf guns.

I smiled evilly as I snuck to Jax's bedroom door.

I looked over to see River sneaking into Seth's room, and I decided now was the time.

I put my hand on the door knob and opened it quickly. I rushed into his room only to find it empty.

Confused, I looked around.

I then grinned to myself. I stalked to his bed, and threw the covers off to make sure he wasn't hiding...as thin as paper..

I shrugged and walked to his walk in closet. When I walked into his closet, hands were placed on my hips.

I let out a screech and jumped up.

I turned around and gasped.

"How did you do that?!!" I hollered looking at him.
