"I'm going for a run" I said to Stiles as I jumped down the last three stairs.

"Why" he said looking at me like I'm crazy.

"Because half the time were running away from people, I think I need to get faster don't you" I sent him a smirk before heading to the door "oh and don't wait up" I called over my shoulder. I left the house the cold weather hitting me like a tone of bricks, I shrugged it off and started to run. Considering everything that was going on I decided not to run in the woods instead I decided to run on the road next to the woods. Much more sensible.

After half hour I spotted a gas station realising I could to with a break I sprinted until I reached there I leaned over catching my breath before standing up straight again, I looked around a  realised there was only one other person here. Derek Hale.

I sent him a small smile and waved at him "hey" I said to him.

"Hey" he replied sending me a smile.

"I would ask what your doing here but I think its kinda obvious" I said to him walking over.

He laughed, which was the most amazing laugh I have ever heard "yeah but what are you doing here."

"Oh ya know I decided to go on a run, though I'd take a break."

I saw Derek stiffen "Sophia get behind me."

"What" I asked confused.

"Get behind me now" Derek said through gritted teeth. I quickly did as he said as a car pulled up in front of Derek's and another one behind us, I looked around confused as Derek seemed to know what was going on. A man got out of one of the cars in front of us and approached us. Derek continued to fill his car up while two more men got out of the car behind us and surrounded us.

"Nice ride" the man who got out the car noted once Derek finished filling up "black cars though very hard to keep clean. I would definitely suggest a little more maintenance" the man got a window cleaner and started to clean the windshield "if you have something this nice, you want to take care of it right? Personally I'm very protective of the things I love. That's something I learned from my family. You don't have much of that these days. Do you?"

At the mention of his family Derek's hand turned into his fist, I instantly grabbed a hold of his hand hoping to calm him the sparks appeared just like every other time we touched and after a few seconds it worked his hand unclenched itself and instead grabbed a hold of mine the man looked at our intertwined hands curiously "there we go" he said "you can actually look through you windshield now. See how that makes everything so much clearer."

"You forgot to check the oil" Derek said, I literally felt like hitting my head against the wall. He just had to say something, they were about to leave and he just had to say something.

"Check the mans oil" he said to the men behind us. One of the men walked around to the drivers side and smashed into the window, I jumped slightly at the sudden use of violence.

"Looks good to me" he said.

"Drive safely" he said turning around and headed back towards his car before he paused and turned back to us "oh and Derek leave the human girl alone before we make you" he then turned back around and got into his car and drove away the car behind us followed suit.
