Chapter 31 - The Proposal

The Bolinski mansion.

Everything around here is in chaos. The whole house is buzzing with activities. The household help is panicking. But above all these things, there's only one person who is enjoying his surroundings.

Romanov is sipping his coffee by the pool. Relaxing and reading his daily papers. It always amazes him what his wife is doing. This is the most part that he sometimes wanted to avoid if they planned on traveling.

The whole family is going away. Her wife call this "pre-wedding vacation."

Ahh.. but this feels good my children are coming with us. Everything is wonderful. Nikolai will propose to Alesandra. And he wanted it in Paris. Witness by family and friends. This is what this vacation is all about.

Nikolai asked him to plan for something that everyone will agree upon and will come to Paris without Alesandra getting suspicious about his plan.

But with his strict instructions that no one will say anything or not even give Alesandra an idea of his proposal.

The plan.. a family vacation in Paris with Alesandra coming and visiting the Renaulthè family.

Karmen, his youngest child, and only daughter are more excited than the rest. She felt happy about his brother's planned proposal to Alesandra. She has a part of the plan and everything is in her mind. She planned it throughout and contacted all her friends. She is still in college and taking a vacation from uni life.

When Nikolai came to talk to them and announced that he will be proposing to Alesandra, he was more excited than his son. His wife and daughter were crying and jumping with joy. His other son, Pietro was glad to hear it.

He finally comes around. They all thought that Nikolai will not settle down. After a long soul searching.

They saw how totally broken and devastated Nikolai is when his fiancee betrayed him. She left him with another man. It wasn't easy for him to see his son in those times. Nikolai left and was gone for a year. When he came back he was a different man.

She may be a Russian billionaire's heiress but my son is worth more than anything and his happiness is worth it. It's her loss, not my son. But if not for Simonè, Nikolai wouldn't meet Alesandra. All things had a reason and he met his soul mate, his one and only. His one true love.

Nikolai. I am so proud of you son.

Hence Nikolai will not join them, they will fly with Nikolai's new private plane. He used it when he visits Alesandra in Paris. It is a new model in the industry and has updated technology and larger than his own plane.

Nikolai will be left behind to take care of other stuff in his office. He had last-minute meetings with their investors and business partners. He is making sure that everything will be settled before he left.

And also he was waiting for the ring he ordered from Tiffany & Co. from Paris to be shifted to New York. It was the ring Alesandra saw in their Paris store when she was with him. He will be flying in a commercial airline.

His other son, Pietro is also excited. This is his chance to take a break from his practice and his first time to introduce his girlfriend to his family. His girlfriend, Margotte, is a supermodel and a friend also of Alesandra. Pietro is a very private and down to earth person and only a few of his colleagues known that he came from the Bolinski family.

Pietro is more concerned about his brother's well being.

This is good bro, I'm really happy for you. Finally, you come around. You've found your one true love. This is what you've been dreaming about. Looking forward to your little monsters!! Hahaha!!
