Kakashi's Pov:
I walked with Sakura and Naruto up to the Hokage tower
"Where is Sayuri sensei?" Naruto asked me as we walked up the stairs
"She had to deal with something she should be back soon though" I said but I felt a little uneasy.. If it wasn't serious she should have come back last night, but knowing her she can talk forever when it comes to Gaara. I knocked on the door and when we heard a firm 'come in' we filed in
"You're mission is to escort a caravan--" Tsunade was cut off by Naruto's grumbling
"What, have you got a problem with that?" Tsunade barked and I ran my hand through my hair. Tsunade opened her eyes and looked around then looked at me
"Where is Sayuri? I called all of Team Kakashi" She asked sternly
"She got called by Gaara, she said it probably wasn't anything major but and she should be back soon." I said confidently and Naruto turned to me
"Gaara?" He asked
"I'll explain later" I said waving him off...Just then someone from the cypher division ran in.
"Lady Tsunade, terrible news. We got an emergency dispatch from the sand" She yelled running up to the desk. I felt my heart drop to my stomach
"The sand" I said hoarsely
"Where is this dispatch?!" Tsunade all but yelled to the girl. She handed a paper to Tsunade who's eyes widened slightly.
"It can't be.." Shizune murmured from behind Tsunade's chair.
"What is it?.. What's happened" Naruto asked quickly as she let out a deep breath and looked at each of us but her gaze stuck with me.
"The Kazekage of the sand has been captured by the Akatsuki.." She said and I choked on air
"W-what?" I asked hastily
"You heard me" She said narrowing her eyes slightly
"Gaara.... Wait Sayuri sensei!" Naruto yelled turning to me but I kept my eyes glued to Tsunade
"Please.." I said hoarsely and she nodded at me
"Team Kakashi, I'm assigning you a new mission, you are to go to the sand and track down the Akatsuki. Keep us informed and if Sayuri is there save her along with the Kazekage." She said and we all nodded and I turned to them
"Pack your bags meet at the front gate in fifteen minutes" I said before teleporting off..I got home and took a few long breaths trying to calm myself. I closed my eyes tightly and pulled out one of her kunai throwing it against the wall....nothing...
"I should not be worried she can handle herself in a fight.. But the Akatsuki are on a different level.." I muttered quietly while gathering my mission gear and throwing it in my bag.
