Chapter 8

When I woke up I was behind bars with chakra suppressing chains around my wrists and I sighed

"This has happened far too many times... but I guess this is the first my own village has locked me up" I said sadly then I noticed a scroll on the ground in front of me. I opened it and recognized Kakashi's neat handwriting immediately.

Sayuri,

I'm so sorry to have you locked up but I know you would try to stop me. I have to leave the Village, I have to protect you and our boys. I am the fifth Kekkei Genkai user that Hiruko wants. Hiruko has a puppet master jutsu on me and in two days he will try to absorb me. I am having Lady Tsunade help me with destroying him but for this plan to work I need to go to him. I would give my life for this village but more importantly I will give my life for my family.. For you Sayuri, I would give everything. I know you will be furious with me but just know that you are my everything and I love you so much. Please tell Itsuki, Hachiro and Katsuo that ever since they have been a part of my life, I have felt infinitely happier. They, much like you, brought true joy back into my life and every day I have spent with them is a blessing.

Tears ran down my cheeks as I read and reread the scroll. I let out a loud scream and punched the floor causing it to crack. Suddenly I heard loud banging in the cell next to me

"Let me out of here!!! Give me a break! I have to catch up to Kakashi sensei and fast!!" I heard a familiar voice scream

"N-naruto?" I called out but my voice cracked

"Sayuri sensei? You're in here too?" He asked calming down

"Yeah.. so Kakashi is gone?" I whispered

"I'm going to get out and go after him! You are coming to Sayuri sensei!!" He yelled confidently and I smiled wiping my eyes with my trembling hands

"You're right Naruto, let's go save that idiot" I said standing up and trying to pry open the chains wrapped around my wrists, then I heard soft footsteps coming closer

"Sakura?" I heard Naruto ask

"Sakura help us out of here" I said walking forward and leaning against the bars

"Sayuri sensei? You're in here too?" She asked walking over to me with a sad look on her face

"Why did they put you in here?" She asked looking between our two cells

"I have no idea. I mean I was only trying to bring Kakashi sensei back because he was acting all weird." He said and I let out a small whimper

"I guess they put me in here because they knew I would try to stop him... He is under the puppet master jutsu. We need to get to him fast before they can kill him" I said pleadingly to Sakura

"Lady Tsunade said we shouldn't concern ourselves with him anymore" She whispered looking down at her feet

"Sakura do you remember lesson one that Kakashi taught you all?" I asked and she nodded

"Those who abandon even one of your friends are worse than scum. I think it would be even worse for me as his wife. Sakura you will never give up on Sasuke right? Why would Kakashi be any different?" I said softly looking at her.

"We need to bring Kakashi sensei back home to where he belongs. To his family." Naruto added and he nodded punching through the bars to each of our cells
