Kakashi x Oc Book Three

Chapter 7

The next few weeks were fairly uneventful, Naruto went off to do some more training with Jiraiya while Kakashi and I got sent out on a few missions having to do with rogue shinobi. When Naruto came back we were sent on a mission about a few missing Kekkei Genkai users.. it was me, Kakashi, Naruto, Sai and Sakura. Sai was currently up in the air getting a visual lookout while the rest of us were on the ground. Suddenly we heard a blast and I looked up but there was nothing but storm clouds and rain.

"Sai!" Naruto shouted before running off

"Naruto we have a mission to complete!" Kakashi shouted running after him with Sakura quick at his heals. I however just teleported to Sai, seeing as he is the only one on the team I hadn't marked I marked his cloak before we left. When I got there we were both flying through the air very close to the ground. I quickly grabbed Sai and wrapped him in my arms but we were to close to the ground for me to put up a barrier. I hit the ground..hard... with a barely conscious Sai on me

"Sai are... you okay?" I asked slightly wheezing from the wind being knocked out of me.

"Yes" Was all he said before he passed out. I stayed on the ground and just put my hands on his back healing him the best I could as I regulated my breathing

"Saiii!!" I could hear Naruto shout nearby, he ran up and kneeled down by me helping me lift off Sai

"Is he going to be okay?" He asked quickly

"Yeah he should be fine -cough-" I said as Naruto pulled me to my feet. Just then I heard two thumps and looking around there were two wolf beast things, I quickly jumped to my feet and grabbed Sai

"Naruto you deal with the-" I was cut off by a tendril with a spike shooting right at Naruto.

"Naruto look out!" I shouted and kicked him out of the way with Sai still hanging over my shoulder. Then I heard the all too familiar sound of birds chirping

"!!" Kakashi yelled as he broke through a large rock nearby.

"Chaaaaa" yelled as they both launched themselves at the two beasts. After the attacked both of them we retreated to a safe distance for Sakura and I to look at Sai.

"He should be fine" I said leaning back slightly but I looked up to see a very angry Sakura punch Naruto into the wall and at him for rushing in

"Haha at least you don't yell at me like that right sweetie..." I trailed off when I saw an equally pissed off Kakashi.

"What were you thinking Sayu you could have been killed" He said but instead of punching me like Sakura he just flicked my forehead.

"Well Sai was hurt and he would have had a lot more severe damage if I hadn't cushioned his fall" I said happily but cringing slightly at the unfortunately familiar feeling of a broken rib. Kakashi narrowed his visible eye at me

"Why didn't you use a barrier instead of your body" He asked making me yelp as he pushed on my broken rib

"Not enough time..Oh come on Kakashi.... It's better me hurt then him" I whined and he sighed and pulled me into a gentle hug

"I'm just glad you are okay" He said and kissed my forehead. After we made it about halfway back to the village I teleported everyone to the front gate then Kakashi and I to the Hokage's office.

"Welcome back you two, how did it go?" Tsunade asked us immediately getting to business

"We pursued all four of the Kekkei Genkai users that disappeared from the major villages, their trails led here.." Kakashi explained pointing to the map
