Chapter 18

The next morning I woke up in pretty much the same position as I fell asleep in but Naruto was snoring loudly now. I smiled and grabbed his shoulder shaking him

"Hmmm?" Naruto mumbled out as he turned over and I smiled wider shaking his shoulder again. He grumbled slightly but sat up rubbing his eyes. Then looked back at me still laying flat on my back

"Are you going to be okay?" Naruto asked me cautiously

"Yeah I should be fine" I said lightly as I sat up and patted Naruto on the head

"I am going to go sit on the roof if you want to join me?" I asked standing up and throwing on my cloak. Naruto nodded standing up as well and we both jumped out the window and ran up to the roof. I sighed happily laying back and looking at the freshly falling snow and took in a deep breath.

"It's so beautfiul isn't it?" I asked and I heard Naruto humm next to me slightly

"Yeah it is" he agreed

After a while of sitting there Naruto decided that if he went into sage mode he would be able to sense his surroundings better and possibly sense Sasuke. So while he was gathering nature energy for sage mode, I was just sitting next to him and drawing in the snow on the roof and occasionally dusted the fresh snow off of Naruto's shoulders or head. I felt two arms fall across my shoulders along with a blanket and looked up to see Kakashi smiling down at me

"You two should come in, you will freeze out here" He said and I glanced at Naruto who didn't seem to want to move and sighed as a puff came out of my mouth from the cold air. I scooched a bit closer to Naruto and wrapped half of the blanket around him

"Let him gather nature energy Kakashi" I said and saw Naruto's lips twitched up slightly.

"Probably just jealous he can't use sage mode" Naruto whispered quietly to me without opening his eyes and I fell into a fit of giggles. Naruto peeked open one eye to look at me as I rolled on the snow covered roof holding my ribs.

"Naaa..ruto, that was funny.. I needed a laugh" I said still holding my ribs and laughing. I rolled slightly too far and flopped off the two story roof into a pile of snow with a loud 'pffff' sound.

"Sayuri sensei are you alright?" I heard Naruto asked as he peaked over the roof and I noticed from his eyes that he was in sage mode.

"She's fine" I heard Kakashi say as he jumped down off the roof and looked down in the little me size hole that I had created in the snow. I looked up and smiled at him and I saw him roll his eye but smile offering me a hand. I took it and he yanked me up into his chest, I felt warmth radiating off of him and sighed happily

"So are you mad at me?" I asked and he took in a deep breath

"No not really, I am mad at myself for not noticing the lie too, I was his captain.." Kakashi trailed off and I squeezed him

"He didn't want you to know, he didn't even want me to know..don't beat yourself up.. He wouldn't want either of us to do that" I said quietly and he nodded kissing my forehead and I smiled to myself looking up at him

"I love you..." I started internally laughing

"I lo-"

"Even if you can't use sage mode" I added cutting him off and fell into another fit of giggles

"I'm sorry, I couldn't help it" I said smiling up at the disgruntled silver haired man but he stayed silent. I pouted up at him giving him puppy dog eyes and he groaned while leaning down and capturing my lips with his masked one's

"I love you too" He said pouting slightly back at me but I grinned and threw my arms around his shoulders. He gently placed his hands around my waist and pulled me into him. Then I heard several footsteps and we pulled away from each other to see Sakura, Sai, Kiba, and Lee.
