Namjoon's POV:

i gave up trying to sleep, so i decided to read. i hadn't read in a long time. mostly because my mind always ended up drifting off after a while.

and the same thing happened tonight. so i took out my phone and went through old text messages. from friends who i didn't speak to anymore. or from family members who pretended to care. or high school friends who wondered how i was doing.

fake. all of them.

i read the messages from jin lee. they were sweet. kind, yet honest. she seemed like one of those few honest people left in this world.

i liked her. a lot.
