Chapter 5- Goner

Luke's POV
It was now or never.
"Come in!"
When she walked through that door, I was lost for all words. There was nothing that could describe how beautiful she looked.
I mean She always looked absolutely beautiful but...something about today....
You love her too.
I ignored my wolf and went on staring for some time.
I realized I was staring. She didn't though. Thank god!
I got up out of my chair.
"Hey" she looked up at me with those big blue eyes...framed by those long dark lashes.
You're a goner. Admit it
"Hey" I replied back to Cade.
Gosh she was short.
She was adorable.
"Umm Luke? I wanted to talk about the note...And the gift."
I didn't know what the hell to say....
Cardian's POV
He still looked cool on the outside while I am sure I was doing all my nervous habits. Like playing with my hair, writhing my hands.
"Yes? What about it?" He asked this which such a calm attitude!
I racked my brain for an answer.
What was this about exactly anyway?
"I'm confused. What are you trying to tell me? Or am I making a deal out of nothing. I'm sorry I don't know why I came. Goodbye sorry." I broke the intense, green stare he was looking at me with and turned around to face the door, ready to bolt!
But...
when I was reaching the door to leave he grabbed my hand.
I was surprised when I jumped a bit.
"Im sorry. Wait! Please. Don't leave. At least not yet." I didn't know what to do so I did as he told me to.
I heard him swallow hard thanks to our super hearing.
"I gave you this because you are my mate. Nothing else. i thought I owed it to you."
"Oh."That's all I could say.
I felt like crap to say the least.
"Well...thank you."
I put the note and necklace on his dresser and turned to leave yet again when he spoke up.
"Aren't you forgetting something?"
I'm sure I looked confused. And he only confused me more when a beautiful smirk croosed his features.
Wait! Beautiful? No.
I forgot something. What. Pants. No that wasn't it.
He gestured to the necklace.
I realized he actually wanted me to have it. I probably looked pained on the outside but...on the inside I felt like I was about to burst! With happiness, with tears, I felt like I was going to have a mental breakdown for goodness sake!!
He was so confident. I don't know how he did it.
He took out the necklace and rested his wrists on my shoulder as he secured it in the back.
He looked down at me the whole time. Never breaking eye contact. I was trapped in the green forest of his eyes.
You're a goner. My wolf was right.
I thought I was going to have a heart attack but he really put me over the edge when he gently kissed me ever so slightly....
