Cade's POV
With recent events, like wild fires and and many murders in our area, it was decided that the whole rouge pack would be going to the pack we would train. So here we are, all on a plane. I don't know how Eathan afforded it but somehow he got us all a seat and managed to get me and Travis side by side and Aaron on a completely different level.
You might say it was too soon, you're probably right. But Travis and I were basically a couple. Say what you want! But I'm finally happy again.
When the plane took off and landed Travis always took my hand because I had mentioned how scared I was to be riding on a plane. This is how my and Aaron's parents died. A fight broke out between them and a rouge on the plane. Arron's mother went crazy and killed the pilot in the process and bam! Four dead parents! I had told Travis about this before but I made sure to tell him the less gory version of the story. Although I was scarred out of my mind, Travis' hand helped more than he knew!
Getting on the plane was a nightmare, with all the delays and checks but, getting off was a lot less hectic and was much shorter! So when we got off of the plane there were a bunch of cars waiting for us. They were all big black SUV's they sent about 10 but not enough for the whole pack. We had to sit on people's laps which was really awkward since the whole pack was made up of men. I laughed out loud at this as I climbed on top of Travis' lap. Halfway through the ride something possesed me to look behind me into familiar dark brown eyes. I immediately turned ghostly white and turned back slighlty snuggling into Travis' black hoodie.
It only took about an hour ride to finally get to where we would be staying and training the pack. I knew we were allies with them but Eathan failed to tell me which pack it was. I stepped out and immediately felt sick to my stomach. I turned to see Eathan. He had a sympathetic look on his face. "I knew if I told you, you wouldn't help. We need you." I simply turned back to look at the familiar house. I couldn't help but clutch the swirly heart necklace that was still clasped around my neck.
This was gonna be hell.
As we walked to the door I couldn't help but hide behind Kenneth and Travis a bit. I didn't know exactly where Trent was but I honestly didn't care at this point. He had cause me a lot of trouble yesterday and I was ready for him to drop dead. Travis noticed me hiding behind him so he took my hand once again and led me to the door where a group of people were standing. I picked out my "sister", Tyler, the beta and last of all, Luke. I still hid behind Travis. I knew my scent wasn't the same as the last time we saw eachother so I thought maybe I could get theough this without Luke knowing who I was but then damn Eathan started introducing each of us.
"Hello, Alpha,"
"Eathan." Luke nodded to Eathan. Luke's hair looked thin like he had been ripping it out and his eyes were dull and un amused. To put it blunty, he looked like crap.
"Well, this is my head warrior, Travis. This is Kenneth, and Travis' older brother, Trent is- Oh he just arrived! ." I hadn't noticed Trent come up behind me until he put a hand on my shoulder in reassurance. Although he betrayed me yesterday I let him keep his hand there although Travis growled at him. He quickly moved his hand and stepped away. "Aw and I almost forgot our last warrior. This is Cadrian. Travis' erm girlfriend." At my name Luke immediately looked up with hopefull eyes. They had returnd to their original blue color and he looked me over. I knew I didn't look like I did 2 years ago. I knew I looked a lot better. My hair hand grown back, almost down to my butt which was currently braided. And I had filled out a little since I started to get better nutrition. He roamed over my body only to settle on my face. We locked eyes and a familiar pull was present. He stepped towards me, angered "Who did this to you?" He took my face in his hands and looked at the still prominant bruise, as Travis growled. He looked to Travis and asked "It was him wasn't it?" He snatched me away from Travis and hugged me close to his chest. I pushed against him, willing him to let go of me. He was kind of hurting me. "Let me go..." It came out as a weak whisper. He looked down into my eyes almost a little pained. "You're hurting me, Luke." He immediately let go but wrapped a possessive arm around my waste. Travis was still growling and looked ready to shift. I looked up to Luke only to feel sparks run through me. I knew Luke felt it too beacause he gasped a little and loosened his grip. I took this opportunity and stumbled out of his arms and into Travis' open arms.
"Luke, she is no longer yours to take. If you cause trouble with her we will not hesitate to leave." Eathan said.
"You have no right to take her." Luke growled. "She is my mate!" He growled again. I flinched back at the growl a little and Luke noticed and calmed down.
"Just let me speak to her in private please."
"It's her choice." Eathan said.
"She is not going anywhere that son of a bitch!" Arron interjected. Good to know he still cares.
"Shut up Arron." It was Travis who spoke this time. He sighed "It's her choice."
"Please, Cadrian. Just come talk to me for 10 minutes." Luke looked at me pleadingly.
"You have five minutes, Luke." I said this with a confidence I didn't know I had.
"Kathrine, Tyler show them to where they can set up camp." Luke ordered. Everyone immediately scurried off, leaving me and my so called mate alone.
He didn't waste anytime to hug me again but this time he was more gentle and less urgent. "Cade, I tried. I tried to find you that night. Alpha Hagean almost killed me for crossing the territory! I tried..." He settled his head into the crook of my neck, breathing in my scent. He looked at my face once again and asked "Who did this?"
I squeaked out a name, "Arron."
"Was he the one that..."
"Not the first time. But the second time yes, but it wasn't rape, Luke. I moved on."
"I'm so sorry. But you're back now I'm gonna make it up to you for the rest of my life, Cade. I don't care that you're not a virgin or you're with someone I love you. I need you." I looked at him in disgust.
"YOU THINK I'M JUST GONNA COME BACK TO YOU AFTER WHAT YOU DID?!?!" I took a deep breath and ripped myself out of his hands. "I'm with Travis now. You can't and won't interfere." I started walking, ok more like running, away but turned around before I turned the corner of the familiar house and yelled, " Oh yah, and go to hell, Luke Carter!"
