Chapter 13 - Alpha Hagean
Cadrian's Pov
It's been almost a week since the Blue Sun pack had captured us. Me and Arron were given a room to stay in for a while and they also fed us. I had to admit it was nice not having to cook my own food. Although I did that better too. At the moment I was sitting at the alpha's dinner table eating breakfast which was located in his personal house located next to the pack house. I could tell that the alpha, Hagean, took an immediate liking to me. He had a mate once. She was killed by a hunter a couple years ago, so I could easily be with him without worrying about heartbreak.
My deep thought mode was interrupted by Blake. Blake was the Beta of the pack and was proving to be one of my best friends here besides Arron of course. No matter what Arron would be my best friend until we are both dead in the ground. Blake was also proving to be a good friend to Arron too. Over the past week they had both really bonded. They were both Beta's which made them have a lot in common.
Although I loved Blake I didn't feel too kindly towards his mate, Jesse. I felt so jealous when she was around because she was constantly kissing Blake and they were always touching. I longed for that with a passion that only my one and only true match could satisfy. I needed to get him out of my head.
I had attempted to forget about my perfect mate over the past couple days. but to no avail, I was constantly thinking about him, even when I was asleep he found a way to wriggle himself into my dreams. I was snapped out of my thoughts once again by Blake shaking my shoulder saying something along the lines of "Are ya in there?" while waving his hand in front of my face.
"Sorry, Blake. I was thinking."
"Ha! I could tell, Cadrian. Anyway I was saying that the alpha wants you two in his office as soon as you can. He has some matters to discuss with you."
Arron interjected. "What kind of matters?" I hadn't even noticed Arron walking into the room. Hahe was probably there the whole time. I just didn't notice because I was too involved in my thoughts about- MY GOSH STOP IT CADRIAN. He found his way into my thoughts once again. Bastard.
"He didn't say. That's all I got from him."
"Alright, thanks. We better get to going then." I said to Blake with a smile. I couldn't bring myself to look at his mate.
Arron and I walked in silence to the office which, if I remembered correctly, was located on the top floor of the pac house.
When I say pack house, I actually mean pack mansion. There were 6 floors including the ground floor.
The first floor was designated to the kitchen, a dining room, a living room, and a game room. The next 4 floors were designated to pack rooming. There were a bunch of dorms for the teenagers and a couple bigger rooms for mates. Instead of each room having a different bathroom like my old pack's house there were more like public bathrooms at each end of the hall each way. The top floor was completely designated to the Alpha's office.
We rode on the elevator all the way up to the tippy top. When the doors opened we were met by a big, intimidation, black desk. Behind it was an even bigger scarier alpha. He looked up from the papers littering his desk and acknowledged us. As soon as he saw us, he jumped up and gave me a big bear hug. Arron growled at this. He had not yet really warmed up the Hagean yet. However he ignored Arron and went to sit behind his desk again. I took that as my que to sit so I sat down in one of the leather chairs in front of the desk and Arron took the other one.
"You called?" I asked.
"Yes, I did..I wanted to discuss some things with you and Arron."
"And...?" Arron was getting annoyed at the formalities and was obviously not afraid to show it. "Get to the point."
"Right, well, I think two werewolves of beta and alpha blood would make a great addition to our pack as warriors. Long story short I want you to join my pac." He said as he motioned towards us. We all sat in silence as I malled over my options:
1. Join a pack where me and Arron will be safe and be honorary warrior wolves and possibly fall in love with the alpha.
2. Decline and become a rouge once again where we will starve and and sleep in the woods.
I don't know about you, but I knew what I wanted! SO I didn't waste anytime answering.
"I decline, Alpha." I said this with confidence while looking Hagean in the eye. He was obviously stunned that I had just declined his generous offer. I was honestly a little surprised as well. I mean I could have a life in this pack. I could be trained and I could have a relationship with Alpah Hagean but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Hagean just nodded and turned to Arron waiting for his response.
"Thank you for the offer, Hagean but I decline as well. I couldn't leave Cadrian." Hagean cleared his throat a bit and then continued on saying "Well, It's been a pleasure having both of you and if you ever need anything or...Change your mind...You are always welcome."
"Thank you, Hagean. We had better get off your land before I change my mind." I said.
"Oh, of course I will round up some supplies for you two."
"No, we will be fine," Arron interjected. "I will go get our bags Cade." With that Arron left the room with a swift pace, obviously eager to get out of the Blue Sun's territory. I watched him leave.
I turned back to the Alpha, "Hagean, I really do appreciate it but, the situation we a in is complicated. We really shouldn't stay in the same place for very long." He looked at me fore a long time like he wasn't exactly sure what to do.
"I like you Cade. If you change your mind and want to stop running, I'm here. I'll be here forever." At that he got up from his chair and I followed him to the elevator. As I felt myself drop six floors I gripped onto the railing and waited for the elevator to stop. Once the doors were open Hagean started walking back to his house. Not saying a word.
Before he got away I grabbed his arm, pulling him to me for a hug. I looked into his surprised eyes. We both slowly leaned in for a long, sweet kiss.
