I'm an asshole, I mean hope you enjoy!
A small knock resounded through Thomas' house, causing Patton to practically sprint to open the door, his excitement getting the better of him.
He hurriedly pulled open the door, squealing as he took sight of the 11 year old girl.
She looked so at the man with curiosity.
"Come in Y/n!" Thomas called from behind the giddy manchild.
She carefully stepped around him.
"Hey uncle Tomcat!" She smiled, giving him a hug.
"Long time no see kiddo." Thomas chuckled.
"That's Patton by the way." He laughed pointing to the man wearing the cat hoodie.
"Well hi ya kiddo!" He goofily grinned.
Y/n giggled, and gave a shy wave.
"I am the Prince and I know best." "That is not true and you know it."
"I hate all of you."
"Falsehood."Three arguing people stumbled into the room, their bickering not phasing the two already there. Y/n however didn't like the yelling they were doing and slid behind Thomas.
"Guys." Thomas tried, not even getting a side glance. "Guys..." he said a tad louder, still no response. "Guys!" Thomas practically yelled, finally getting the three's attention.
"What are you arguing about now?" Thomas sighed, rubbing his temples.
"What movie to watch tonight." Logan also sighed, he seemed to have been dragged into the conversation.
A soft laugh rang out from behind Thomas, causing those previously bickering to look at him with confusion.
"Uh... Thomas...?" Roman questioned, motioning to the small hooman half hidden behind Thomas.
"Oh, yes! You see..." He trailed off nudging his young niece out from behind him.
"This is my niece Y/n." He grinned as she gave a timid wave and shifted her gaze to the ground before her.
Roman gushed at the disney shirt she was wearing, Logan pondered why he was not informed of this visit, and Virgil seemed completely uninterested.
"That is, Logan, Roman, and Virgil." Thomas introduced motioning to each of them.
She gave a wave until she saw Virgil's expression which slightly made her uneasy.
"I think she should pick the movie!" Patton cheerily suggested.
Roman and Logan nodded, whereas Virgil simply rolled his eyes.
_________Virgil stared at the glowing stars on his roof.
Given he hardly ever slept, he had been thinking.
Unfortunately his thoughts had become a bit much this evening, and he decides it was warm milk time., as it usually calmed his nerves and made him sleepy.
_________She sighed tossing and turning in her bed as the moon caused the objects in the room to form monsters on the dimly lit wall.
She threw off her covers and hurried out of the room.
She softly hummed as to calm her nerves as she made her way down the stairs and toward the kitchen.
_________Virgil sighed, placing the glass into the microwave and pushing the one.
He stared at his microwave, until a soft voice pulled him out of his thoughts.
Y/n slowly entered the kitchen singing softly under her breathe.
"Cut me open and tell me what's inside
Diagnose me cause I can't keep wondering why
And no it's not a phase cause it happens all the time
Start over, check again, now tell me what you find
Cause I'm going out of frequency
Can anyone respond?"Virgil let out a soft sigh, causing Y/n to gasp and nearly fall.
Virgil chuckled softly as she fake pouted.
"Not funny." She whined, just causing him to laugh a tad louder.
She huffed and went to get her water.
"Why're you up?" Virgil asked, removing his glass from the microwave just before it could beep.
"Couldn't sleep." She sighed. "You?"
"I couldn't either." He shrugged.
"You should try singing." Y/n suggested. "It usually helps me."
"Ha. Maybe I'll try that. Thanks." Virgil smiled.
She nodded before taking a large gulp of her water.
"Look..." Virgil trailed off. "I'm sorry for being a uh..."
"Cotton headed ninny muggin?" She questioned.
He gasped in fake offence. "Why I nevah'." He faked a southern woman's accent.
Y/n soit out her water and nearly fell to the floor in a pile of laughter and bones.
Perhaps he wasn't so rude, and perhaps she wasn't just a burden.
