"Why come to the beach if you're not going to swim!?" Patton nagged at you.
You just shrugged and put on a fake smile.
"I just don't wanna swim Pat. You go swim, I'm fine here." You said softly.
He gave you a kind smile. "Okay but promise me you'll with me later. Pretty please with a puppy on top." He stuck out his bottom lip and gave you puppy dog eyes.
You chuckled, "I promise."
He squealed and then ran into the water.
You sat and watched as he splashed around.
"Help!" He yelled, as his head went under the water.
You gasped, and sprinted towards the water.
You took your shirt/dress off as you ran towards the water, leaving you in your bathing suit.
You ran threw the water to your friend.
Patton popped up behind you and took you under the water with him.
He then started laughing, when you came back up.
You huffed and crossed your arms attempting to be angry. But you began laughing and showed your true feelings.
He then got a serious look on his face as the two of you quit laughing.
"Y/n what's the real reason you wouldn't swim?" He asked in a concerned tone.
Your hands subconsciously wrapped around your stomach, as you looked down at the water crashing around your ankles.
Patton realized what was happening and pulled you into a hug.
"You are the nicest, most beautiful person I've ever met. No one could be better looking than you."
He took your hands in his as he continued his speech.
"You are talented, intelligent, passionate, and gorgeous. You stand up for the ones you care about, and aren't afraid to speak your mind. That's why I love you." He finished.
You had tears in your eyes as you stared into Patton's eyes.
"I love you too." You said.
He pulled you into a hug, which was ended by a huge wave knocking you and Patton over.
You two fell down on the beach laughing.
He watched as your smile lit the beach, and your laughter made birds sing.
