A Million Dreams - Ellis Rubin/Hugh Jackman/Michelle Williams
(This is 51 because 50 is currently a work in progress)
I close my eyes and I can see
The world that's waiting up for me
That I call my own
Through the dark, through the door
Through where no one's been before
But it feels like home
Roman was simply a small boy with gleeming brown eyes and a dream. He wanted to be a theatre director for the small town he lived in. Ever since he was little he had adored acting. Dressing up, and playing all kinds of different characters amazed him. It fueled his imagination. He dreamt in colors that nobody even knew existed. However, the town's people disregarded his dreams.
He comes from a small town. Forgotten on any map you checked. The towns income was little to none. The last thing they wanted was some singing weirdo putting false hopes into the minds of the other children. His parents told him to grow up. But what's the fun in listening.
They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy
They can say, they can say I've lost my mind
I don't care, I don't care, so call me crazy
We can live in a world that we design
When Roman was just 13, a disease wiped out a large group of townspeople. His parents were in that group. He was devastated, but determined. He was going to prove the people wrong, no matter what. So when the week was out, he fled.
He arrived in California a few days later, that's where he met her. The stunning young lady that would bless his vision with her beauty, sweeten every sound he heard with her voice, steal every breath of his when she would sing, and dance behind his eyelids as he laid to sleep.

'Cause every night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
A million dreams for the world we're gonna make
She was going to be his star. The one who lifted his career from hell to heaven. His actress. And that's what she became.
There's a house we can build
Every room inside is filled
With things from far away
The special things I compile
Each one there to make you smile
On a rainy day
She would capture the hearts of hundreds possibly thousands with her talent and voice. She was the best thing to ever happen to Roman Sanders.
The Roman Sanders that came from the slumps of a musty old town, became a man with a name, a man with a plan, a man with a beautiful woman of which had stolen his very heart and soul.
They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy
They can say, they can say we've lost our minds
I don't care, I don't care if they call us crazy
Runaway to a world that we design
He did it.
He actually did it.
Before him stood an extravagant building. One that could hold a few hundred people. The money the town received skyrocketed.
They owed it all to him.
He owed it all to her.
Every night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
A million dreams for the world we're gonna make
You see, she had preformed for him for years, in front of crowds big and small. Stunning everyone. While she could.
She had a dream as well you know. To be known for her talents, to be seen, to be heard. But her biggest dream was to be loved.
All of her dreams had come true, she died holding his hand, with a content smile on her face and an I love you on her breath.
However big, however small
Let me be part of it all
Share your dreams with me
You may be right, you may be wrong
But say that you'll bring me along
To the world you see
To the world I close my eyes to see
I close my eyes to see
He held their daughter in his arms, he may love his theatre and his career, but nothing could triumph over the love he has for his daughter. He would teach her to follow her dreams, to never give up. And he would know why.
Roman was once a small boy with a dream and gleeming brown eyes.
Now he's a man, with a completed dream, and a little angel in his arms. One with the same gleeming brown eyes.
Every night I lie in bed
The brightest colors fill my head
A million dreams are keeping me awake
A million dreams, a million dreams
I think of what the world could be
A vision of the one I see
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
A million dreams for the world we're gonna make
