EPILOGUE

"Mama! Mama! Daddy! Wake upppp! It's morninggggg!"a kid screeched, jumping on the bed. A sleeping Miharu and Itachi both jolted awake. Itachi sighed, tightening his arm around Miharu and pulling her closer. "You promised we'd go swimming todayyyyy!" Miharu scrunched her face up. 

"Your son's are awake..."Itachi muttered, yawning. 

"Mamaaaa!"the other kid squealed, jumping on the bed with his brother. 

"Before noon they're your son's,"Miharu countered. Itachi sighed deeply and he looked up at his two identical son's, slowly sitting up in bed. Miharu yawned and slowly sat up with him, her growing belly preventing her from an easy awakening. One of the kid's went to jump on her, but Itachi quickly caught him. 

"Masahiko, you know you're not supposed to jump on mommy, she's got your baby sister in her belly, remember?"Itachi scolded. Masahiko pouted. Itachi sighed and sat him down on the ground, quickly grabbing the other before he could jump on his mother as well. Miharu stood up from the bed and stretched long and hard, sighing. 

"Boys, go sit down in the dining room. We'll be in there in a minute with food for you,"Miharu told them. They ran off, happily giggling and squealing. She sighed and closed the door. "Think they'll notice if we go back to sleep?" Itachi laughed gently and walked over to her, hugging her from behind. He buried her face into the crook of her neck, placing a soft kiss on her. 

"Mm, I'm sure they would, with a beautiful creature like yourself as their mother,"Itachi hummed into her. She sighed and closed her eyes. "Any weird cravings for breakfast this morning?" Miharu thought for a moment. 

"Waffles and cream cheese,"Miharu told him. He wrinkled his nose up. She laughed gently and turned around, wrapping her arms around his neck and looking up at him. He looked down at her and grinned widely. 

"I love you,"he told her. She smiled and closed her eyes. 

"I love you too,"Miharu replied.

Michiko sighed as she sat in the warm sun beside Miharu. 

"So, how are you feeling?"Miharu asked her, watching Masahiko and Akihiko play with Itachi and Shisui. Michiko leaned back against the pool chair. 

"Uggghhhh, the pain is incredible. Oh, and no idea how you dealt with the strange urge to run your hands through your husbands hair whilst simultaneously kissing and strangling him,"Michiko replied. She laced her fingers together and laid them on her stomach. "And lately, I've had this weird craving for pickles and chocolate pudding. I don't even like pickles." Miharu laughed gently. Michiko was now pregnant with her's and Shisui's first child, and she was finally understanding just what Miharu had to go through. "Last night, I had the incredible urge to tell Shisui to...you know....I just really wanted it!"

"Well, that's what happens. Your hormones are out of whack. It was like that with me, you should've seen how many times Itachi and I went at it just because I was craving him if you know what I mean,"Miharu told her. Michiko wrinkled her nose. "In case you're wondering, yes it's okay and safe." Michiko sighed at her. Suddenly Masahiko ran over. 

"Mommy! Mommy!"He exclaimed. Miharu sat up and leaned over as her little five year old stopped in front of her. "Daddy said that, that, if I'm bad, the pool shark will get me!" Miharu frowned and glared over her shoulder at Itachi, who held his hands up defensively. "He told me if I kept trying to dunk Asa, the pool shark will eat me!" Michiko howled with laughter at the pouting little boy. Miharu shot her a look and she stopped, covering her mouth. 

"Now, Masa, what have we told you about dunking Asahiko?"Miharu scolded. Masahiko pouted and gave her puppy dog eyes. She poked his forehead. "Just be nice, and the pool sharks will leave you alone." 

"You mean there's more than one?!"Masahiko panicked. Miharu sighed and ruffled his hair, leaning back. 

"Go play with your brother and your father and uncle,"Miharu told her son. He smiled real wide and nodded, running off. "No running! You'll slip and crack your head open!" Miharu shook her head and sighed, leaning back into her chair. "Ahhhh, Michiko, it'll be so hard for you once you have the baby. Itachi and I haven't properly slept a full eight hours since our wedding night...well....not even then if you catch my drift." 

"Ew,"Michiko giggled. Miharu snorted at her. They both leaned back and relaxed. "Oof...this baby is gonna be one hell of a martial artist."

"Oh, are you gonna want me to be it's teacher?"Miharu asked. Michiko nodded. Miharu hummed and grinned. "Well, she or he can be in it as soon as she's five." 

"Why five?"Michiko asked. Miharu rose an eyebrow. 

"Don't you remember? I was five when I started. Kicked some serious ass,"Miharu reminded her. Michiko nodded in remembrance. They both sighed again. After a little while, Miharu was being shaken awake. She peeled her eyes open to see Itachi with a panicked look. She touched his cheek gently. "Don't worry, I just fell asleep." He sighed and helped her sit up again. "Why are you always looking at me like I'll disappear?"

"Because sometimes the light can be swallowed by the darkness,"Itachi told her quietly. She gave him a sad look and sighed. "The kids went to stay with Shisui for the night, we've got a little time to ourselves." Miharu gave him a surprised look. He grinned. "Why, don't you know? This is the anniversary of the day you spilled coffee on me." Miharu laughed and shoved him lightly. 

"You're kidding, is it really? Wow, it's been six years,"Miharu told him happily. He grinned at her and helped her up. "Come on let's put this night to good use."

And so the two of them went to their room and slept peacefully, grateful to Shisui and Michiko for looking after their kids for the night. And those were the happiest days of their lives.
