AIDEN
He watched her from afar for a minute. The light breeze blew her knee-length skirt up slightly, and she rushed to fix it, looking up in the process. Their eyes connected, and he tried to act like the air wasn't just knocked out of him as he moved towards her.
"Hey." His voice came out in a whisper and he wanted to kick himself for it. Why was he always so awkward around her? Why couldn't he act normal?
"Hi." She said back just as softly, making him smile to himself as he remembered why he liked her so much.
"Want to walk?"
"Yea." He held out his hand to help her down and she took it. She dropped it a moment later when her tiny feet hit the ground but he didn't care. He'd held her hand and talked to her. All on the same day. He wasn't sure a day could get better than that.
