"Do you think we're creepy?" He asked, staring ahead at the kids of all colors chasing each other.
"For what?"
They were seated on a park bench with a good foot of space separating their bodies. She didn't want to understand wh the space existed. At his house, they were never more than inches away from each if it could be helped. Things were the same when they studied at the cafe. So why did it have to be different here?
"Recording strangers."
She was quiet for a moment as she thought. Finally, she stated, "No, it's for research purposes and we aren't going to do anything bad with the footage."
"Do you always have an answer for everything?" He wondered fondly.
"I don't know." She paused for a flicker of time before whispering, "Try me."
"I just might." He breathed
back softly.
