ALEXANDRITE
Two years, sixty eight days, five hours, and only God knows how many minutes. That's how long she'd waited for this moment. That's how long she'd fantasized being with him.
Now that her lucky stars had finally aligned, she could do nothing but utter, "Are you seriously?"
She watched him pale as he pulled his fingers out of her hand and grabbed his coffee in a fight fist. "I m-mean if you w-want to." His eyes flickered to her face for a quick second before he added, "Youdon'thaveto."
A wide smile stretched across her mouth. She set his coffee on the little table before grabbing his hands in hers. "I want to."
