Alexandrite
She bit her bottom lip as she sat down. After two years of watching this empty seat and wishing she was occupying it, her wish was coming true. She tried to act nonchalantly about it on the outside, but her insides were another story.
"So I was thinking," He started, mindlessly fiddling with his coffee cup. "That maybe we c-could do a video for the presentation part of the a-assignment?"
"Do I scare you?" She asked thoughtfully, looking at the side of his head until he turned to her.
"Huh?!"
"You were stuttering... I've heard of some white people being scared-"
He shook his head fast, making his shaggy hair fly all over the place. "No, you're perfect," He mumbled holding eye contact for a second before looking down at his cup.
