Yet, not everyone approved of her outfit. When I look to the side, I see Baekhyeon glaring at her. When she catches him, she raises and eyebrow and turns to the guys, laughing and having fun. Baekhyeon seems pissed, but I don't know why. He doesn't let her breathe... Sometimes I think he needs to back off. It makes me worried. But then again, I've only been here for two days now, so it's not my place to give criticism. So, I decide to walk away from the oldest brother and walk over to y/n. When she doesn't notice me, I quickly run up to her and lift her up. She starts screaming with laughter, slapping my arms that are around her waist. "Shownu, for fucks sake, put me down! You're going to drop me!" "Hmm, maybe." I tell her with a cheeky laugh. I walk closer to the lake, about to drop her in, when suddenly someone puts a hand on my shoulder. I turn my head, to see Baekhyeon glaring at me. I frown. "What's wrong?" "Put her down." "What? Why?" Y/n asks her brother. "Because it will be too much for you and you will-" "Shut up, Baekhyeon." While they were speaking, I have put down y/n. She turns away from her brother, grabs my hand and walks away with me, leaving a rather angry Baekhyeon behind. She never calls him by his full name. I've been told girls do that when they are angry, so I decide to cheer her up. "Kihyun! Care to help?" "With what?" "Killing y/n." She turns around when she hears her name in this sentence, big eyes. I take this opportunity to start tickling her. Kihyun runs up to us, helping me tickle the giggling girl. "Stop! No! P-p-please!!!" She is now on the ground, trying to sit straight while our fingers tickle her sides. She doesn't succeed, and soon falls on her back in the sand. "I will be your hero, y/n!!!" Chang-Min shouts. He runs towards us and pushes Kihyun and me away playfully. "Omg, miss, are you alright?" Y/n snickers and stands up. "Yes, idiot." Chang-Min puts a hand on his chest, acting hurt. "Oh, why do you call me that? What have I ever done to y- oh, there's something on your butt." Chang-Min wipes away the sand from her bikini bottom, but y/n shouts and hits his arm. "Stop harassing me, Minnie!" She pouts. "Do I need to throw you in the lake to wash it off?" I ask her. She turns around, acting mad. "Nope, I'll be fine, thank you." She flips her hair and walks away, all of us snickering at her sassiness.
AUTHOR POV
The rest of the afternoon is filled with fun, laughter filling the perfect blue sky. When the sun begins to set a little, Kihyun distributes the towels he brought, just in case you would swim. Jin needs it the most, he tripped and fell into the water twice. Wonho and Chang-Min need a towel as well, the both of them had a fight in the water, pushing each other under. Baekhyeon has joined the fun a bit, but mostly stayed at the side, keeping watch over everyone, but not in a really nice way. Everyone noticed how he was a bit overprotective, almost like an annoying mother. You decided to ignore it mostly, tired of his behaviour. You didn't want his ways to influence you or stop you from being happy, amusing yourself. You had one of the best afternoons with these boys, but all good things come to an end. The sun is already setting when all of you get in the car, different groups than this morning. Group one is basically everyone who can still be in the same car as Baekhyeon, group two is everyone who can't. Everyone is a little pissed at him, even though you don't really show it. He has been making comments the whole day, and you're sick of it, so you get in group one with Hyungwon, Wonho, Chang-Min, Kihyun, Shownu and Minhyuk. Group two is Baekhyeon, I.M, Jooheon, Byung-Ho and Yeon-Jin. On the way, you play music and sing along, clapping and dancing a bit. On the contrary, the other car is dead silent, Baekhyeon stops everyone from talking because 'he needed to think'. When you arrive at home, he goes to his room immediately, probably sleeping. Even though you're a bit pissed, you decide to not confront him and continue to have fun with your friends. You all decide to make Kimchi together, and in the evening just relax a bit.
JOOHEON'S POV
I am a bit worried about Baekhyeon, so I decided to go to his room while the rest is making Kimchi. When I knock on his door, a muffled 'go away' is shouted at me. I ignore his protest and go in. He immediately throws an object at me – I think it's a pillow – and sits up in his bed. I close the door and pick up the pillow. "I need to talk to you." "What do you want?" He grumpily mumbles. "Well what happened this afternoon wasn't that nice and I-" "Just cut straight to the point, will you? I don't have time for this." "Sure." I pause a few seconds, looking around and shifting a bit on my feet. "You've acted like a total dick this afternoon, to all of us, and we're mad at you. But I think you did so for a reason, so I want to hear from you why you tried to ruin our fun afternoon together." I blurt out. He scoffs and turns his head away from me, looking to the side, but then I see something I never expected from this tall, broad-shouldered man; he starts to cry. He looks at his hands in his lap, sniffing a bit and trying to talk. "I'm scared, okay?" "Why?" I take a step closer and sit at the edge of his bed. "Because, I see you guys having fun, and I just... I want to protect my family, but I don't know how." "But you don't have to protect us when we're having fun..." "I know, but that's not the point. The point is that I don't want y/n to get a panic attack, I don't want Jin to fall and break something, I don't want Chang-Min to get heartbroken and I don't want Byung-Ho to make the same mistake again..." I shift a bit and sit closer to him. Taking one of his hands into mine, I squeeze it softly. "What mistake, Baek?" He stays quiet for a long time, but then he starts talking.

At first I wanted to leave Baekhyeon alone for a bit, but I decided to give him some more screentime and also go deeper on his feelings. So... the next chapter will be completely about the backstory of the brothers, and therefore it will be a flashback. Baekhyeon is going to open up and explain where his behaviour comes from.
