Chapter 13: Adam's POV

    My liver was beating faster than normal during the elevator ride. How could I have been so careless? Apple noticed The Room!! The Room that is a secret. The secret Room. The hidden Room. The Room that no one should know about. That one Room.

I let out a deep sigh as I leaned against the elevator door. This turned out to be a terrible idea, because the door suddenly opened and I spilled out of the elevator and onto the 1000000000 thread count gold spun Egyptian carpet.

    "Sir, are you all right?" Asks Apple, as she hurries out.

    I stick out my arms at her. "Help me up, peasant."

    "Yes sir." She grabs onto my arms, but seems to be struggling.

    "What is wrong with you slave? Why are you such a weakling?"

    "Ssir, you're so heavy..."

    "Excuse you peasant. Chester has no problem with this. Also what did I tell you about the two s's?"

    "My apologies sir," says Apple as she finally gets me into an upright position.

    "See what you do?" I exploded. "If you hadn't asked about the room, this fiasco never would have happened."

    "What room?" Asked Apple puzzled.

    "The room that is a secret!"

    Apple's eyes narrowed. "What are you talking about?"

    "The room that I didn't want anyone to know about!"

    "Uhh... you mean the playroom?"

    "Not the playroom, you simpleminded wench. The SeKrEt rOoM."

    "What secret room?"

    I sighed in Portuguese, trying to get my shit together. It's so hard to find good help these days.

    "The last door you saw before getting on the elevator."

    "Ohhh... now I get it sir. But I thought that wasn't a room, you said it was a just a door and there was nothing behind the door. "

    "Well I lied."

    "Oh. ok."

    "In that room...." I say, my voice quaking with fear. "Is... a memorial."
