Tutor for Aaliyah Mendes

That Night

I raced to the freezer, than to the couch. Aaliyah's eyes light up, " ice cream!"
I laughed, " it's your favourite Aaliyah."
I handed her the bowl and she dived right in.

Around 9:15 there was 1 last quarter, so I told Aaliyah that she could stay up no later then 10, she agreed and we watched the rest of the game.

Around 9:45 the game ended. I told Aaliyah to go get changed, then yell for me and I would tuck her in.
She ran upstairs, and I went on my phone. While I was on Instagram Shawn texted me,
From Shawn: hey Sky what's up?
To Shawn: hi Shawn. What's up with you? Are you still at the party?
From Shawn: yeah, but I was wondering how You and Aaliyah are
To Shawn: ummm we're good she's about to go to sleep right now
From Shawn: your making her stay up late eh? Worst babysitter ever😏
To Shawn: no I'm not, but we were watching the maple leafs play
From Shawn: I respect that👏
To Shawn:😂
To Shawn: well I'm going to get going, have fun and stay safe
From Shawn: thanks, see ya

Shawn's POV
The party was lame. It's been lame since Matt and I got here. They played loud music until your ears bleed, everyone is drinking and smoking and to top it all off everyone is getting together. I'm so tired of all this.
I got my backpack, went to find Matt and told him I was leaving, but he was too tired to leave, so I got into my family's car and went home.

When I got home all the lights ever off expect for one. The one above the kitchen table. I walked over to the living room to see Skylar passed out on the couch shivering. I looked to the right end of the couch and saw a soft, black blanket. I took it and covered her.

She looked so peaceful, and cute after I put the blanket on her. It made me smile. After covering her, I went upstairs and went bed.
