Nora's hand slipped off the bed in her sleep, not for the first time, and Ren smiled to himself as he placed the stray hand back across her stomach.

Everyone else was outside, trying to distract themselves and laughing. He could hear them through the walls of their room, but he didn't move, rooted to the spot until Nora recovered.

A knock sounded on the door, and his roots stretched as he moved to the door and opened it to reveal a smiling Jaune.

His teammate held a tray with a tea set on it, and he grinned. "Blake and Weiss both pitched in to make this, I thought it would help when Nora wakes up too."

Ren nodded, closing the door behind him as Jaune set the tea set on the bedside table. "How is she?"

"I don't know. She's recovering well..."

"Good. She hasn't woken up yet?" One teacup with a sort of pink tint to the china was left on the tray as Jaune sat down.

"No, not yet." Her hand slipped off of the bed again, and this time she rolled over so her peaceful expression was facing Ren.

He took a sip of his tea and gently moved her hand back up onto the mattress, prompting a chuckle out of Jaune.

"Ozpin wanted me to tell you what we're going to do next. We're going to take the relic to Atlas."

Ren's eyes widened. "Atlas? I thought their borders were closed."

"So did I. Apparently Ironwood will let us in regardless. Ozpin seems confident." Jaune didn't look convinced, and a worried expression settled on his face. "I don't know how we'll get there if Salem knows we have a relic when we set out."

Ren nodded, and Nora sighed in her sleep as he placed his empty teacup on the tray. Jaune rose to take the tray out, and a soft voice from the bed stopped him in his tracks.

"If Salem knows we have a relic, it won't matter. We can handle it."

Ren chuckled, realizing that Nora had been listening to their conversation. "Good morning, Nora."

She smiled, opening her bright blue eyes and filling the room with light and energy. "Morning, Ren!"

Jaune took Nora's teacup and she propped her pillow up before Ren could. "How's your side?"

The redheaded Huntress's hand flew to her bandaged side, and she bit her lip. "It's better, I think..."

Tears formed in her eyes and her hand reached for Ren's almost immediately. "Jaune...I'm sorry. I could have been faster so I didn't get hurt...I just didn't want Weiss to..."

Their leader rested his hand on her knee comfortingly. "Nora, you saved her regardless. It hurt me to see you fall, but I'm just glad you're okay."

She wiped the tears from her eyes with a faint smile. "I saw Blake come back and fight..."

Ren sighed. "Nora, we're still here."

She nodded. "I know. I'm really happy for Ruby, believe me."

He took her teacup after she drained the last of it and set it on the tray. "I think the others would be happy to see you awake, if you feel up to it."

A grin spread across her face. "Yeah!"

Her energy was back as she practically leapt out of bed despite her side and the wince of pain it caused, and she caught his arm to balance.

The three of them left the room and were met by a laughing Team RWBY in their room. Ruby jumped up immediately, and Weiss's eyes were wide as Nora stepped into the room tentatively.

"Nora! You're awake!"

The two major energies in the room collided, and Nora's arm slipped out of Ren's to return the hug the youngest Huntress gave her.

"Are you feeling better?"

Weiss's voice was quiet and full of gratitude as she appeared at Nora's other shoulder with a worried look on her face.

She exchanged a look with Ren, who answered for his partner with a smile. "Her energy answers for her, I think."

Nora laughed. "I feel much better."

Weiss nodded. "Good. I...I wanted to thank you."

Yang gasped. "Whoa, Weiss is showing emotion!"

A glyph appeared behind the blonde Huntress and sent her flying backwards into a couch without Weiss moving a muscle, prompting a laugh from everyone.

Nora grinned, pulling Weiss into a hug. "You don't need to thank me. I couldn't handle anyone else being hurt."

Jaune came back from the kitchen without the tray, and Nora's hand fell into Ren's again as Blake spoke softly.

"I would say rest, but I think you've had a lot of that." The Faunus Huntress smiled, helping Yang up from where she lay on the now overturned couch.

Ren nodded, his grip tightening on his partner's hand. "We can help with dinner tonight, if you like."

Blake visibly relaxed. "Thank you. It was going to be Yang and Ruby's job to organize it, and..."

Ruby laughed. "Um...yeah, please take over."

Jaune and Weiss were enveloped in an intense conversation in the corner, and oddly enough, there were tears in the heiress's eyes as she spoke.

Nora clearly noticed, bouncing on her toes in excitement and drawing a smile from Ren. The two of them finished their conversation, and Weiss wiped tears from her eyes, now smiling.

Nora swayed on her feet, and Ren's hand closed around hers, immediately concerned. "Nora, are you okay?"

His partner nodded. "I...I should be. I guess I got distracted and forgot to stand..."

Her embarrassment was evident, and Ren waved away his inquiry with a smile. "It's okay. We should get started on dinner..."

She grinned, skipping off towards the kitchen without another look in Jaune's direction, and Ren promptly followed.
