Johnny's POV

Every day before today was never gray.
It's always black and white,
Until tonight, yeah.

I sat on the bench, just a few feet away from Ponyboy. He made my heart race and butterflies fly in my stomach. I never felt this before, it was a different feeling, but it was amazing.

I wasn't expecting you to have me seeing sepia,
And shades of light,
But it feels so right, yeah.

We were walking down the sidewalk, hand in hand. With each touch, colors brightened as if a filter was turned onto high.

Afraid to fall in first, but that's the old me

We sat on the rough bark of the oak brown tree. He stared at me, thinking I didn't notice, but oh, I did. I didn't think I was gonna fall, but I did, and I fell hard but with a soft landing.

He chased me as I ran throughout the field of beautiful daises. The sun beamed on us, making me sweat, but nonetheless happy.

Every second you can bet my heart's collecting,
Little butterflies,

The butterflies flew away from the daisies as I ran, Ponyboy close behind. The flowers were so bright and the wings of the butterflies were just so right.

I'm trying not to fall for you,
But falling seems so easy.
My heart was locked, but boy you got the key to free me,
Invisible to love but boy you see me.

He teased me as we sat on the deck, feet dangling in the water.

"Man Johnny, I could never ask for a better best friend," he smiles at me. His smiles kills me as my heart breaks just a little at the word 'best friend'.

I tried to save myself from falling, but it was too late.

Whenever we're together, my heart jumps right out my chest. You're happy. And so am I. We're together. Best friends, just like you said, forever.

Maybe you will never understand my love for you, but I sure in hell won't let you go that easily. Because, honestly, to me, you're my one true only~
