~{Are the chapters too long, too short, or just right? Let me know in the comments. Thanks!}~

When I woke up I didn't know where I was. I was in some kind of tent structure. There was a table, a trunk, and wooden chair made out of sticks. I looked down and saw that I was sitting on a stack of large leaves piled up. I'm guessing that was supposed to be a bed. I got up and walked outside to go and find Leyla. There were two guys with guns guarding the tent opening. When they heard we exit the tent, they turned around and stepped in my way. I took a couple steps back and crossed my arms.

"What's going on?", I said to the one on my left.

"You're not supposed to leave. Orders will be obeyed", he nodded at me. I looked at the one on the right and realized he was Shane.

"Please, I need to check up on someone important. It'll be just a second", I pleaded Shane.

"I'm sorry I can't let you out of my sight or... my head will be blown into pieces...," he said apologetically. Luckily, Clarke walked by just in time.

"Clarke! What's going on? Why am I being kept as a hostage by these two?"

"You're up! How are you feeling? Nauseous? Head aches?," she asked me as she pushed through Shane and the other guy.

"What?.. No i'm fine, I just need to understand what's going on. And where's Leyla?,"

"Bellamy's orders to keep you safe until he can figure out who hurt you."

"Wait he's doing this? And keep me safe from who? And I got hurt?," I said, trying to piece everything together, "Where's Leyla? Is Raven with her?".

"Yes Raven's with her. And she's fine. Don't worry about her. Here sit down so I can explain what happened".

I sat down and said, "Okay. So what happened?"

"Apparently," she said as she sat herself down across from me, "you were knocked out behind his tent. He saw your hand stick out from under tent. When he got to you, there was large gash in your head and you bleed, a lot."

I rubbed the back of my neck and felt a piece of cloth and some mushy paste that made me cringe.

"What is that?" I said, disgusted. She had already prepared a fresh piece of cloth with the mushy paste to replace the old one.

"Here turn around. This," she said as she applied it, "this is medicine made out of herbs.". After she was done, I tried to turn around, but she pushed me roughly back into my seat.

"Uhm.. Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Yeah I just have to do something to eliminate the shitty bacteria growth. I like to kill anything that gets in my way." She said mysteriously. I peeked over my shoulder and saw that she was heating up a knife. I listened carefully in the way she talked. Clarke wasn't being herself; her actions are hasty and her words were sly. But it was too late when I figured it all out. She had come up behind me and stabbed me right in the chest. I collapsed to the ground and grasped the air. The two guards took all of my weapons so I was left defenseless to this psychotic bitch. Then Bellamy walked in and simply stood next to Clarke. I was enraged at him, at Clarke, but mostly at myself for not being alert. Bellamy turned to Clarke, pulled her in from the waist, and said, "Now we can get to Her since her mother is out of the way".

They started to make out in front of me and a little part of me shattered into a million pieces. I tried to get up, but my body felt paralyzed. With all the strength that was left in me, I managed to kick Bellamy in the shin. Clarke reached for her gun, but Bellamy stopped her.

"Allow me", he smiled. He clicked the gun and pointed it at me.

"Do it. Maybe this time you won't be such a coward." I coughed.

"Aw, that's the most sentiment you've ever shown me." He smiled. I looked away from him and closed my eyes, waiting for him to pull the trigger. He didn't even hesitate, not even a second. He fired so many shots, but I opened my eyes again and scramble to sit up. I looked down at my chest, but there was no knife. The mushy patch on my head was gone and all my weapons were still with me. I was confused for a second but I sighed in relief when I figured it out. It was just a a dream, I thought, only a dream.

I exhaled forcefully and heard screaming and gun shots. I jumped to the sound of gun shots from the main ground. I ran out from my hiding place to see a bunch of guys fooling around and shooting up at the air. A couple of seconds later, black blurs dropped from the sky. I took a closer look at them and saw feathers. Tonights dinner special: birds.

I headed for the infirmary to find Leyla and Raven laughing together. I stood still at the doorway, closed one eye, and held up both my hands to make a rectangle with my index fingers and thumbs. It's something Daniel taught me; it's to help remember a moment.

Clarke walks up to me, "What are you doing?"

"I'm taking a mental picture of them". She nodded, but I could tell she was still confused. I walked in and sat down near them, trying not to interrupt. Then Octavia jumped out from behind the main table on all fours, and roared. Leyla squealed and ran to Raven. She got on Raven's back and commanded her to gallop around the room.

"Forward my noble steed!".

Octavia ran after them, roaring. When she caught up to them, she tickled Leyla and took her off Rave's back. All three of them were laughing and panting at the same time. Octavia stood up and straightened herself when she saw me at the doorway.

"Hey, you're up," Raven said as she got up from the floor.

"Yeah, I was just checking up. Seems like everything's great," I smiled.

Leyla tugged on my sleeve, "Mommy can you be the horse-y this time?"

"Oh uh your mom's leg can handle that much stress right now," Clarke stepped in.

"Sweetie i'm sorry, but I can be whatever you want when I get better, okay?", I said as I squat down to face her.

"Okay, just don't take too long."

"I promise," I stood up and turned to Octavia, "Thank you for keeping and eye on her."

"Sure," she smiled.

The moon was bright and the stars shone like ember stones. Leyla was asleep with her head on my lap, while I was sitting against a tree trunk. My cheeks were flushed from the warmth of the fire. A hand comes from behind me handing me a cup filled with liquid.

"It's water," Octavia said as she sat down.

"Thanks." I took the cup and drank half, and saved the rest for Leyla. Octavia didn't say anything for awhile. She just started to throw rocks into the fire.

After about five minutes later she finally said something.

"I know that you don't want anyone's pity for you and your family, so all I'm going to say is I know it sucks. I may still have Bellamy left, but the rest is gone.", she said as she was twiddling with a rock in her hand, "Don't you sometimes wish that things were different and the nuclear bomb never happened?"

"Always... What kind of life would we have? Would we still be the way we are now?" I said softly.

"Finally! Someone who actually gets me!" she said with excitement. We both laughed. She threw her head back and looked up at the stars.

"You know," she sighed and looked back at me, " He is really sorry."

I just looked down and stroked Leyla's hair. Saying sorry wasn't going to change my mind so easily. It's going take more than that to earn my forgiveness.
