~{Sloan's dress is just solid, no lace}~I was alone, standing in front of a broken mirror. My hair was let down and it brushed my lower back. The white dress fitted perfectly; it was an off shoulder, cinch waist dress. As I stood there, my emotions were overwhelming.
"I'm actually getting married," I whispered to myself as I admired the dress.
"Are you ready for us?," Octavia pokes her head in the medical tent.
"Yeah," I was startled.
Octavia, Raven, and Leyla came in. They started on my hair.
"Do you mind...," Clarke came in, "My mom taught me how to braid once."
"Of course," I sat down.
She quickly got to work as Leyla watched her carefully. Octavia and Raven unstemmed some flowers.
"What are those for?" I said trying not to move.
"For you're hair and bouquet," Raven held up her masterpiece of neatly arranged flowers."Done," Clarke beamed as she took a step back.
I got up and looked in the mirror. It was a braid that started from the top left side of my head into a bun on my lower right side. Trumpet flowers went throughout my hair.
"Thank you!," I laughed, "This is incredible."
"It was easy," Clarke waved.
"I'll go check to see if daddy is ready," Leyla said excitedly. She went and then I got up.
"This means a lot to me. Thank you for doing all of this."
Everyone smiled and came into a group hug.
"Okay, no more hugs. You can't ruin your hair just yet," Raven pulled away.
Leyla skipped in again.
"He's ready," she grabbed her basket filled with petals and stood by the entrance.
"We should go," Octavia hands me my bouquet.
I nodded and took a deep breath.
"Ready?" Leyla asked.
I sighed and grinned, "Yes."
She walked out and started to throw petal in the air, I waited. At this moment I thought of my dad. How he would've walked me down the aisle. Then he'd hand me to Bellamy and stand next to my mother. Daniel would be next to them. I felt my bottom lip quiver.
"No," I whispered to myself.
I calmed myself down and then lifted the flap of the tent.Everybody was quiet as I stepped out. There was a pathway they made that led to the scrap-made podium. As soon as I made eye contact with Bellamy, an immediate smile appeared on both of our faces. He held out his hand and as soon as I took it, everyone cheered.
"Okay, okay!" Jasper calmed the crowd, "Thank you everyone for gathering here. Today, we are joined with the the one and only Bellamy and Sloan. We've been through many rough times, given that were on Earth. I don't know why they trust me to do this, but lets get started, shall we?"
Monty stepped up and handed Jasper a piece of paper.
Jasper clear his throat and said to Bellamy, "Repeat after me. I, Bellamy Blake."
"I Bellamy Blake, take you, Sloan Rebeya , to be my beloved wife, to have and to hold you, to honor you, to treasure you, to be at you side in sorrow and in joy, in good times, and in the bad, and to love and cherish you always. I promise you this from my heart, for all the days of my life."I smiled, "I Sloan Rebeya, take you Bellamy Blake, to be my beloved husband, to have and to hold you, to honor you, to treasure you, to be at your side in sorrow and in joy, in good times and bad, and to love and cherish you always. I promise you this from my heart, for all the days of my life."
I tightened my grip and he smiled.
Jasper said, "You may know kiss-"
"Wait. I wrote something," Bellamy interrupted.
He pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket, took one of my hand, and cleared his throat.
"You are the one who keeps me going. Every single time I feel helpless and drained out, I look at you. I look at you and I suddenly get my strength back. You know why? Because you're love is what anchors me. You keep me sane and that why I need you. Sloan, I need you with me. I promise to love you and be loved by you."My face was stuck in this grin that I couldn't wipe away. He put his hand on my cheek.
"So," Jasper said to me, "Do you have anything to say?"
"I do actually," I bit my lip.
I had what I was going to say already memorized.
"Bellamy, I remember the first time I saw you in that vent, something made me remember you. It was your protectiveness towards Octavia. Daniel protected me in the same way that you did with her and that's what caught my attention. Fate brought me here, but your love kept me. You're my only hope in this insanity. I promise to love you and be loved by you."
There was a pause.
"You may now kiss your bride!" exclaimed Jasper.
Bellamy pulled me in and kissed me as I wrapped my arms around his shoulders. The crowd roared with excitement and threw flower petals in the air.
"Congratulations!," Jasper yelled over the noise.
"Thank you!," I hugged him.
Bellamy said to my ear, "This doesn't feel real, it's like a dream."
"I know! This is more than I could ask for!"
"Where's Leyla?"
"I'm right here!" she tugged on Bellamy's sleeve.
"Wait! I have to take a picture!" she stood in front of us and help up her hands. She formed a rectangle with her index fingers and thumbs. Bellamy gently pulled me in by the waist and I put a hand on his chest.
"Perfect!" Leyla giggled.
At this moment it was just him and me. I was ecstatic, elated, delight, and every other fulfilling emotion human beings could feel.~
