time will tellflashback
I couldn't seem to get rid of the disturbing image I had seen a couple of seconds ago and that only caused me to break completely, to get angrier, more furious and more disappointed. It was pure torture and I had a very weird and unknown feeling in the pit of my stomach with a thousand question marks in my head. While Andrew was still laying on the ground, I took a glance to my right to stare at Jo's absent facial expression.
She was clasping her body tightly and just stared at me with doleful eyes before she let her body sink down onto the ground to grab her sleeveless top. I could hear her sobs but decided to focus on Andrew instead because she was only distracting me. The longer I stared at his weak body, the angrier I got, so I dropped to the ground and brought another fist to his defined jaw. "Why would you do this? I thought you were my friend!"
He coughed, spitting some blood on my dark blue shirt. "Hear me out first."
"Hear you out?" I scoffed, grasping him by the hem of his shirt to bring his face closer to mine. "Hear you out? Really? I think I've seen enough, I don't need to hear you out." My hands were literally shaking from all the anger that kept boiling inside of me and I knew for sure that I had to let it out somewhere or perhaps on someone.
I pushed him back to the ground and his head collided with the floor while he moaned in pain. "I can explain everything, Miles." What was he going to explain? He was all over my girlfriend and pretended to be my friend although he was hooking up with her behind my back. I closed my eyes to prevent those damn tears from rolling down because they would make me look weak and vulnerable. My knuckles turned white from clenching my fists and my bottom lip was probably busted open since I couldn't stop biting down on it.
"Why? Just tell me why?" I shouted from my lungs with disappointment lacing on my voice and when I opened my eyes again, I spotted quite a few people surrounding us but I could have cared less. I balled my hands and landed another punch into his stomach just to see him wince in pain before I walked over to the girl I loved so deeply, to the girl who broke my heart in the blink of an eye. I was overwhelmed by this situation and had no idea what I should do other than hurt someone and being completely drunk didn't help me at all.
She was still hiding her face behind her small hands and I kneeled down to the ground to glare at her with nothing but disgust. "And how could you do this to me? How long were you cheating on me? How long has this been going on behind my back? Were you ever going to tell me?" I bombared her with questions and although I tried to keep my voice low and steady, I ended up shouting nevertheless.
"Please stop hurting him, Miles. It's... I..." she mumbled, trying to find the right words to cover her faults with but I was not buying any of this. Instead I felt the urge to vomit because she was making me sick to my stomach. "I am so, so sorry. I wanted to talk to you about it but..."
"You're-" I didn't have the chance to scold her because I felt a pair of strong hands on my shoulders, turning my body around right before a fist connected with my nose and I stumbled backwards as I covered the center of my face seconds before another punch was landed on my right eye. I wiped some blood from my nostrils and exploded with fury as I growled. Due to the alcohol I consumed and my broken heart, I grabbed random objects and threw them around the hall while cursing under my breath. Objects levitated and broke, causing all those people to drop down to the floor and cover their heads with their hands.
"Stop causing a damn scene!" Andrew shouted this time. "You're way too aggressive and obviously out of control. Get yourself together or you'll hurt more people!" My head was still pounding and now my nose was aching but I didn't care. I wanted to feel more physical pain rather than emotional one, so I had to keep hitting Andrew in order for him to defend himself and hit me as well. Burning rage hissed through my entire body and mind, which I could not control. It demanded to be released in the form of violence.
