"Sometimes in the middle of the night I can feel you again
And I just miss you and I just wish you were a better man..."

I had been lying in this bed with my eyes wide open for the past hour or so. I loved these type of mornings so much — the ones where his strong arms were wrapped around my upper body and his cute little snores filling my ears, the ones where neither of us were in a rush to get to work, the ones where we would probably stay in all day and watch some movies after we've had breakfast. Austin usually slept until around ten a.m, while I was already awake at eight, so I just took this little extra time to count all my blessings, think about life and analyze his imperfect, yet perfect features.

Like always, his arms were wrapped around my body so tightly that I could feel his breath on my neck. My back was pressed against his muscular chest and I slowly tried to untangle myself from his grip to turn myself around to face him. Once I was looking straight at his angelic face, a smile spread around my lips. He was only wearing his grey shorts while his upper body was uncovered. He always complained about the fact that it was just too hot to sleep in anything else other than in his countless collection of shorts while I was wearing his over-size sweaters instead. I placed my hand on his bare chest and began to draw random letters with my fingertips very carefully. His lips were parted slightly and the sun was shining right on his face because he forgot to close the curtains last night.

The golden color from the sun had a certain effect on his hair as it looked a lot blonder now. The smile on my face dropped once this beautiful image in front of me was replaced with another image from my past and I jerked away immediately, causing Austin to open his eyes with confusion and tiredness. "I'm sorry," I whispered, rubbing his cheeks softly. "I didn't want to wake you."

He rubbed his eyes with his right hand as he let out a loud yawn because he knew that it annoyed me whenever he yawned that loud, but he just smiled. "Good morning, babe."

I rolled my eyes at him playfully, "Good morning to you too, honey," I teased.

We both continued to stare into each others eyes before I bit onto my lower lip and tried not to laugh. "Are you alright?" He pulled me even closer towards him and I could feel the warmth radiating from his body as I placed a soft kiss onto his neck.

I nodded, leaving his question uncommented. I had a weird dream last night and ever since then, I couldn't fall back to sleep because I was scared that I would dream about it again. "You should get some more rest, I'm alright don't worry," I said.
