Chapter 3: Heartbreak

Skylar's POV

The next morning I woke up and started getting ready for school. Once I was finished I grabbed my bag and was ready to head downstairs when I heard a "whoosh" behind me.

I smiled turning to see Emmett, but frowned seeing his sad face.

"Babe, what's wrong?" I asked.

"We need to talk." Emmett stated.

"About?" I asked.

Before he could answer his phone went off.

"What?!" He growled. "Sorry..... Yeah I am...... I'll be there soon...... Yeah..... Bye."

"Who was that?" I asked.

"Carlisle." Emmett sighed. "I have to go. Just come meet me at my house during lunch. I have something to tell you."

"Okay....... Is everything alright with you?" I asked worried.

Emmett just sighed, shaking his head with a frown. "Just meet me during your lunch at mine, I'll see you soon."

And with that, he was gone.

Something about him made me worried and my heart ache painfully. I tried to shake it off and went downstairs to meet with Bella. We hoped in my car and started to leave.

"Have you talked to Edward at all this morning?" I asked curiously.

"No, not since he dropped me off last night. Why?" Bella asked.

"I don't know. Something just seems...... Off." I stated.

"I'm sure it's nothing. And I bet we'll see them all at school." Bella tried to assure me, but I knew that it wasn't going to happen.

Once we pulled in and got out, Bella looked towards the empty spaces the Cullen's would normally park, then turned to me. "I'm sure they're running a little bit late. Probably didn't realize how long they've been hunting."

I just sighed and walked to class, ignoring Bella as her friends who started to meet up with her.

The rest of the day went slow until lunch came around. I left Bella a text that I'd be out for lunch, and that I'd see her later. I got in my car and started to head to the Cullen's place. As I arrived I seen everyone but Emmett and Edward putting boxes in a moving truck.

"What are you guys doing?" I frowned.

"Sky, what are you doing here?" Rose frowned but looked at me sadly. As if she was about to cry.

"Emmett said I should come over here so we can talk. What's going on?" I asked worried.

"I'm sorry. I can't." Rose shook her head and picked up a few more boxes.

"Hey." Emmett said sadly. "Let's go inside and talk."

I nodded and slowly followed him upstairs to his room.

"Emmett what's going on?!" I demanded.

"Edward is making us move." Emmett said straight out.

"What?!" I asked frantically. "Why?!"

"Because, he doesn't want you and Bella to get hurt being around us more than you two already have." Emmett sighed.

"Yeah well that's not his decision to make! Especially for all of your family!" I stated furiously. "Why didn't you try talking him out of it?! Why can't you just ignore him and stay here?!"

"I'm so sorry sky. But we're all leaving." Emmett frowned sadly.

"No. No! Don't do this to me! I'm sorry I wasn't good enough, but what about Always and Forever, huh?! Did that mean nothing to you?!" I shouted as tears formed in my eyes.
