Chapter 26: Cullen Reunion

The Next Morning
Skylar's POV

Well after last night's events....... well let's just say when Dad found out that Bella ran off to Italy to see Edward, he was livid.

Dad went on and on in front of Emmett, Hope, and I until he couldn't no more about how stupid Bella was to run off like that and how he'd shoot Edward if it wasn't illegal.

Honestly I think he made Emmett shit his pants for what its worth. But anyways, now it's about 4pm and Emmett and I are getting ready to see the rest of the Cullen's back at their house after spending the morning at the Clearwater's house giving our condolences.

It even turned out that I'm not the only female shifter. Leah and Seth phased as well after hearing about their fathers death.

"Hey." Emmett said pulling me out of my thoughts. "We're here. Ready?"

I nodded and Emmett came around to help me out of the car then helped grab Hope out of her carseat.

Emmett held my hand and lead me inside as I had Hope on my hip.

"Sky!" Rose was the first one to come and welcome me into a hug. "We've missed you. We would have called but Edward said that would put you in danger."

"Yeah, and look where that got him." I frowmed.

"You're not a big fan of him anymore, are you?" Rosalie asked.

"Wait until I beat his ass, then we'll see." I shrugged as the rest of the family came around and gathered me in hugs as I told them welcome home.

"And whose this precious little jem?" Esme asked as Hope grabbed her finger and started playing with it.

"Guys, I'd like you to meet Hope Andrea Mikaelson." I smiled.

"Our God daughter." Emmett smiled wrapping his arm around my waist as I now held Hope in my arms.

"Now Hope, this is Grandpa Carlisle, Grandma Esme, Uncle Connor, Aunt Rosalie, and Uncle Jaz." I smiled as Hope reached for Jaz and started to play with his golden locks.

The family stated at him stiffly making me scoff, causing them all to look at me.

"You guys need to stop treating him like he has no self control." I frowned.

"Sky's right. Did you guys ever think that he wasn't just feeling his own thirst but everyone else's in the room on the girls birthday. Especially Edwards since Bella's blood sings to him?" Emmett pointed out.

The family nodded sadly then smiled seeing as Jasper ignored everything and had all his attention on Hope.

"My turn." Rosalie smiled taking Hope from him and took her over to Connor and looked at us. "You two are so lucky. She's gonna be such a beauty when she's older."

"Just like her mother and Aunti Becks." I smiled thinking of how much Rose and Bekah are so much alike. Who knows, maybe they'll meet and become besties.

After spending the night with Hope, Emmett, and the rest of the Cullen's I decided to head in early. Emmett drove us home and came up to bed, laying down with Hope and I until we fell asleep.
