Chapter 4: Leaving

Skylar's POV

The next morning I woke up on the floor of his room.

I sighed getting up, knowing I can't stay another minute in this town even longer. I sighed grabbing my guitar and put it in the empty duffel bag. I then phase out in the drive and started running back home. By the time I got there Bella must have been at school and Charlie at work.

I phased back and went through the back door to get in the house so I wouldn't be seen butt-ass naked.

I jogged upstairs and started to pack everything. And set it on the floor in front of my bed.

"Leo!" I called out then went to the bathroom and packed all of my stuff then went back to my room.

"What's with all the luggage?" Leo asked relaxing on my bed.

"I'm leaving. Now." I stated.

"What?! Why?!" Leo frowned.

"Because...... I need to get away...... Turns out I'm a wolf not only a witch so I'm doing this to protect the people I love, plus......... He left me, Leo." I said as tears started to stream down my cheeks.

"What?! Oh, Sky! I'm so sorry. I'll kill that bastard!!!" Leo stated pulling me into a hug.

"No, I'll be fine." I stated pulling back.

"So where do you need to be orbed to?" Leo asked.

"I'll let you know when I get there." I frowned.

"What do you mean?" Leo asked confused.

"I'm running. And wherever I can find a place to stay for a little while, I'll call you." I said.

"Okay, but what are you gonna tell Charlie? And Bella?" Leo asked.

"As far as they're concerned...... I'm taking a college tour with the school. Good thing I had a brochure from last month and I'll have a note." I said holding it up and went downstairs with him following.

"Skylar, you don't have to leave......."

"YES!!! I do!" I stated sternly, getting irritated quickly.

"Okay, I'm sorry. I'm just worried." Leo apologized.

"Just...... I'll call when I need you." I said trying not to explode on him. I turned to look at him but he was gone.

I sighed and started writing a letter to Charlie and Bella.

Dear, Dad and Bella

I'm sorry to say I left, I forgot to tell you I leave for a while on a feild trip with the school to visit Colleges around the country. I love you guys and I'll keep in touch.

I sighed and changed out of my new clothes and put them in my purse along with my phone, charger, and saved up money and emergency credit cards from the Salvatore's, the Originals, and them...... and phased, picking up the purse in my mouth and started running.

A couple days later......

After skipping town to town I finally ended up somewhere decent. Somewhere cultural, musical, and magical.

That's right, I'm in the heart of the Big Easy. New Orleans.

I phased back and changed real quick behind an abandoned building in the park. I slipped on my clothes and shoes and walked into the closest restaurant/bar on Bourbon Street which was Rousseau's.

When I walked in one voice above all caught my attention.

"So what brings you to the Big Easy?" The bartender asked.

"I used to live here." He said.

"Really? When?" The bar tender asked.

"Oh, feels like a hundred years ago." He said making me smile. Little does she know he's not joking.

"I just moved here myself. What brought you back?" She asked as I started to walk up.

"Well, my brother is here somewhere. I'm afraid he might have gotten himself into a bit of a bind." He replied.

"Huh, well looks like we'll have to help him out. As per usual." I smirked sitting next to him.

"Skylar Swan." He smiles towards me and stands up as I do and engulfs me into a hug. "Oh how I missed you, little sister."

"Missed you too Elijah."
