Chapter 27: The Vote

Early The Next Morning
Skylar's POV

I woke up to Hope crying that night. I sighed and went to pick her up to change her dipper as Emmett watched me with a smile.

"Keep smiling like that I might think your a stalker." I teased while Emmett let out a playful scoff before shoving his head into my pillows and pretended to rest.

"Big child." I muttered.

"Heard that." Emmett said as his voice was muffled by the pillows.

"Good." I smirked putting Hope in her crib when I heard Dad yell from downstairs.

"I can't believe you have the nerve to show your face here!" Dad bellowed. "What's wrong with her?!"

"She's just very tired, Charlie, please let her rest." Fuck-wards voice made my blood boil real quick as I started to shake.

"Sky, calm down." Emmett said putting his arms around me, comforting me so that I calmed down a little, and luckily for everyone's sake, I did.

"Don't tell me what to do!" Dad yelled even more pissed. "Give her to me! Get your hands off my daughter!"

"Cut it out, Dad." Bella said tired, but with enough volume in her voice. "Be mad at me."

"You bet I will be." Dad stated. "Put her in her room, then get the hell outta my house!"

Once I heard Bella's door open then shut I quickly opened mine and grabbed Edward by the back of his neck as my dad watched me drag him out the door like a dog with Emmett following as I threw him off the porch to the floor.

I knew dad knew I could take care of myself so I closed the front door behind me and dragged Edwards ass into the woods and phased before he could do anything.

'I can't fucking believe you!' I growled stepping closer to him as he just stood there.

"Sky, trust me. I know. And I'm sorry." Edward acted calm which only angered me more.

'You left my sister alone and depressed! You made me leave my home! AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY IMPRINT!!!' I bellowed and lunged for him, making him fall on his back moving his head to the side as I beared my teeth near his face.

"Sky, please hear me out!" Edward begged.

"Sky, baby, let him go." Emmett said calmly. "He's still my family. He's still my brother no matter what he's done."

I looked at Emmett sadly and went behind him and phased.

Emmett handed me underwear, a shirt, and sweats to put on. Once I was dressed I went out and walked up to Edward.

"Why!" I screamed hitting him.

"Why take your family away from us?!" I yelled again, hitting him with tears in my eyes.

"Why take Emmett away?!" I yelled this time falling to my knees breaking down.

Emmett quickly came to comfort me, pulling me into a hug

"Its okay, I'm here baby. I'm not leaving." Emmett promised as Edward sighed and kneeled next to me.

"I'm sorry I caused all this pain. The reason why I left is because I thought I could track her." Edward sighed.

"What?" I asked looking up at him through the tears.

"I thought I was on Victoria's trail once I decided to start tracking her." Edwards sighed. "I had no idea that she would come back. And I'm so sorry. I just hope you can forgive me."
