New Signing

Y/n's POV

Today is game day against Sky Blue and I got multiple text from mom, Alex and Ash which they  all said more or less the same thing "good luck kid you'll do great" -Ash "Kick some ass honey I love you" - mom "Score a goal for me today we'll be watching" - Alex. I responded to them and ate some breakfast then I get a text from Moe with an attachment, I open it to see that she sent me a picture with her wearing my jersey and saying she was my number one fan.

Me: Thanks Moe I really needed that <3

Moe: No problem you'll do great we're all going to be watching so kick some ass. Everyone is rooting for you... well all except Kel she's a little salty but oh well whatcha gonna do. Score me a goal!

Me: Ya know I was supposed to score Alex a goal but I guess I can do it for you instead ;)

Moe: *gasps* Y/n Krieger are you scoring for other girls? 

Me: Who? Me? Never, only for you Moe. But I have to go I gotta head to the stadium.

Moe: Bye! :p

I put my phone in my back pocket and grab my soccer bag, I grab the keys off the counter and drive off soon arriving at the stadium. I get out of the car and walk into the locker room, I sit down at my locker and begin to change occasionally talking to a few of the girls. After everyone is changed coach walks in and gives us the starting 11 and surprisingly I'm in it. We head to the tunnel after stretching then head out to the field, we shake hands with the other players and the ref blows the whistle starting the game. I kick the ball sending it back to Dani who starts dribbling up the field and she passes it to a teammate only for sky blue's defense to take it away, the whole first half of the game was pretty back and forth with both sides having a few good shots on goal with either the keeper saving it or the ball going just wide. I see Dani win the ball in midfield so Rachel and I start to run as Dani dribbles up field she passes it to Rachel and I give her a signal telling her to give me a through ball and she does I get the ball and I take off sprinting to goal I get inside the box and as soon as I'm about to kick it I feel my feet fly out from under me and I get sent tumbling to the ground.

I collide with the ground and let me tell you it hurts A LOT. I hear the ref blow the whistle and run up to the defender who starts arguing with the ref saying that it wasn't a foul. Rachel and Dani suddenly appear over me with worry written all over their face.

"You okay Y/n?'' Rachel asks and I nod they help me up and I give a thumbs up to Tom letting him know I'm ok. The ref gives the defender a red card and she storms off the field and points to the pk spot so I take the ball and place it on the spot and take a few steps back waiting for the refs signal and once she blows the whistle a run up to the ball and I send the ball into the bottom left corner. My teammates rush up to me and engulf me in a giant group hug, we head back to midfield and resume the rest of the half about 5 minutes later the ref calls the half and we head into the locker room. Tom lets us know what we need to work on and we head back onto the field the second half starts and they kick off but as they kick it back the midfielder misses the ball so I intercept it and start sprinting to goal I look up to see if any of my teammates are near me and their not so I keep running. I get to their defense and I nutmeg the defender and I look up to see the keeper slightly off her line so I kick the ball into the upper right 90' the crowd cheers and I smile.

We start back up and one of Sky blue's players gets past our defense and scores a goal around the 70th minute making it 2-1. We start up again and I hear the announcer say that we have now entered stoppage time and that we have 4 minutes I notice a slip up in sky blue's midfield so I get the ball and I dribble up the field and I see Rachel make a run into the box so I cross the ball in and she heads it into the goal I run up to her and give her a hug and the ref blows the whistle ending the game. We sign autographs for the fans and I take a few pictures with some until I notice a familiar face in the crowd and It was Adam he calls my name but Rachel pulls me into the locker room saying that coach called a team meeting. Tom talks for a bit then he leaves and we all change then I walk out of the locker room only to bump into someone.

"Oh I'm sorry"

"Geez kid watch we're you going, Cassius walks better than you" the person jokes. Wait a minute Cassius?

"Syd?" I ask 

"You guessed it" she laughs and so do I 

"What are you doing here?" I ask

"Well I just got signed to the team" she smiles and so do I 

"Awesome you coming to sign the paperwork?" 

"Yep, hey why aren't you with Ali and the others?"

"I didn't get called up to the roster and I didn't just want to leave the team for a few weeks just because mom was leaving" I said and she nods her head I walk with her and wait for her to finish signing her paperwork then we walk to our cars.

"So you're staying by yourself you can stay with us if you want" she offers and I shake my head and laugh

"Thanks Syd but I can manage I'm not a kid ya know" I say while we walk outside and I see Adam standing by my car and I give Syd a look.

"Uhh hi?" I say and he smiles

"Hey Y/n great game I'm so proud of you" he says and I look at him weirdly then at Syd.

"Umm thanks I guess, uh see you around I guess" I say and he nods then walks off and I turn to Syd.

"Um on second thought I think I will stay with you Syd" I say and she nods

"Yeah that definitely seems like the safest option at least until your mom and Ash get back" she says and I tell her that I'll meet her at her house and to text me her address. I drive home to grab a few things then leave for Syd's house.
