Y/n's pov
It was finally my birthday and I'm turning 18! I woke up to dozen of happy birthday texts from friends and teammates. Mom decided to surprise me by renting a venue which I told her she really didn't have to do but I greatly appreciated it. Ash, Alex and I have gone over everything together for tonight. I'm currently having a birthday breakfast with Moe, mom, Ash, Tobin and Alex.
"So Y/n are you ready for your party tonight?" Alex asks
"Yeah it'll be great to see everyone again" I smile taking a sip of my water.
"I can't believe my baby girl is 18 now" mom says with a big smile.
"Yup I'm legally an adult" I said popping the 'p'.
"By age yeah but from the way you act..." Alex says teasingly
"Hey! I'm more of an adult than Kelley and she's 30!" I huffed
"You keep telling yourself that babe" Moe says
"Yeah you and Kel are in the same boat when it comes to maturity" Tobin says
"Whatever" I pout causing them all to laugh. We finished breakfast telling Alex and Tobin that we'll see them tonight. Mom and Ash drop Moe and I at home due to them going to go get some last minute things for the party tonight.
We head into my room turning on Netflix. Moe sits on my bed while I go down the hall to the bathroom.
Moe's pov
I choose the 100 to watch as Y/n and I have recently been into the show as of lately. I wait for Y/n to return but I grow impatient and start looking around her room. I get up and look at a picture of her and her Portland team mates. I smile when I see that their all making goofy faces. I put it back and walk away but I step on something so I look down seeing a pair of socks so I pick them up putting them in her sock drawer due to them being clean. I go to close the door but I see a small black box. Curiosity gets the best of me so I open it to see and engagement ring my eyes widened as I looked at it.
Was Y/n going to propose? She can't right it's still a bit early isn't it?
I hear the door open so I turn to see Y/n and once she sees what I'm holding her eyes widened.
Y/n's pov
I open my door to see Moe holding the engagement ring.
"Uh yeah that's not what it looks like. Well I mean it is but-"
"Why do you have a ring?" She asks
"It's for Ash, I'm holding it for her. She's going to propose to mom"
"When?"
"Tonight"
"On your birthday?"
"Yeah I wanted her too" I say walking over putting the ring back into the drawer. I smile grabbing her hand sitting us down on the bed.
"Don't tell anyone it's going to be a surprise" I say and she nods. We cuddle together as we start to watch the 100 until Y/n says something.
"I do however have every intention to marry you though" and with that I kisses her head and focus back on the tv.
*skip to the party tonight*
I currently looking around the venue in awe that mom and Ash did all this for me. I smile walking over to Mal and Rose.
"Heyyyy there she is it's bout time you turned 18" Mal says and I smile shaking my head giving them both a hug. We chat for a while until I look at Ash to see she's already looking at me I nod walking over to her handing her the ring.
"Good luck I'll be watching recording the whole thing" I say quickly making my way into some bushes outside as I instantly smell salt water due to the venue being right on the beach. I see Ash lead mom out and I start recording. Ash says some things then drops down on one knee as mom gasps putting her hands over her mouth. Mom starts nodding frantically as tears stream down her face and they kiss. Ash picks her up and spins them around in excitement. I stop recording and run over to them giving them a giant hug.
"You knew didn't you?" Mom asks and I grin nodding my head. She kisses my head as we go back inside.
"You're the best daughter anyone can ask for. I don't know what I would do without you" she says and I give her a hug
" I love you mom"
" I love you too Y/n" she says pulling away from our hug. I see Moe approach us smiling.
"Congratulations!" She says to the both of them and they thank her. I give Moe a kiss wrapping my arms around her.
"Hey do I look ok? I don't have a mirror or anything so I don't know if I look good or-" I cut her off by kissing her and I pull out my phone letting her see her reflection.
"You look great just like you always do" I smile
"I don't know how I ever got through life without you" she smiles and I laugh.
"Hey I'm gonna go grab-" I got cut off by a gun shot. The room is immediately filled with screams and most rush out of the room while others get down or hide behind something. I turn to see where it came from to see Adam standing there with a gun in his hand pointing it at Mom, Moe and Ash who were huddled together.
"Adam" I spit with venom
"NO! I am your father you call me dad!" He shouts
"YOU LOST THAT RIGHT WHEN YOU LEFT US!" I yell back
"You care about these people right here Y/n huh?" He motioned to the three behind me.
"Don't" I say pleading.
"WELL IF I CANT HAVE YOU IN MY LIFE THEN NO ONE CAN!" He shouts and shots I jump in front of the bullets as I feel them pierce my body. Then I feel nothing at all as I struggle to catch my breath and keep my eyes open. I start to black out but I see something who I think is Zach grab Adam pinning him down. I see Mom, Ash and Moe all rush over me with tears streaming down their faces. They say something but all I hear is ringing in my ears. I feel myself starting to go so I manage to rasp out some words
"I love you all" and with that I fade into darkness.
