Y/n's pov

With the National team camp ending we all flew back to our respective clubs. I'm currently sitting with in the locker room dancing to the blasting music with Allie and Lindsey while we wait for the team to get ready for today's game against the courage who's only lost to Utah so far this season. We've played them twice but they've both been draws so today everyone is gunning for a win. We make our way out to the field the shake hands with the team and I noticed that new girl on the national team was on this team, Jaelene I believe her name was.

The ref starts the game and we kick off, the first half goes back and forth with a few good looks from both sides but Jaelene was assigned to mark me and has fouled me quite a few times with each of them getting rougher as she progressed. The ref catches her last one which was just outside the box and gives us a free kick. I decide to let Tobin take it and as she approached me I looked at her and I tell her quietly to go for goal and I walk away getting ready inside the box. The ref blows the whistle signaling that Tobin can go ahead I look at the clock and see that this is very likely that this will be the play for the first half. Tobin kicks the ball and I just barely curves over the upper 90 and it's a shame because the goalie would have been beat.

We head into the locker rooms at 0-0 and coach tells us that we need to have better possession and to calm down with the ball. We head back out after 15 minuets and start back up I get the ball from Lindsey and I take off down the side but Jaelene tackles it out for a corner kick. I get in the box and wait for the ball to come in and when it does I meet it with my head but so does Jaelene but she mostly hits me head and I go down and stay down. I immediately see Lindsey, Allie, Sam, Crystal and Lynn hovering over me I close my eyes and I hear them all say that I need to keep them open so I open them again. I see Allie signal for the trainers to come over and they ask me a bunch of questions and they eventually help me off the field. They do a concussion test and I pass it I drink some water and wait by the side ref who eventually sends me back on to the field.

Ali's pov

I'm watching Y/n's game along with Ash, Syd, Dom and Alex and I feel my heart stop when I see Y/n go down a stay down and we all just listen to the commentators.

"And it looks like Y/n Krieger is down inside the box and isn't moving much and as you can see immediately her teammates from the national team are around her checking on her. Long just signaled for the trainers so I don't take that as a good sign, the trainers are helping her off the field" the lady says

We watch as they carry on with the game with the camera occasionally going to the trainers who are working with Y/n who looks a lot more responsive than she did a few minutes ago. I see her go to the side ref who sends her back onto the field around the 76th minuet. Y/n gets the ball around midfield and kicks it to Tobin who starts making a run Y/n starts running but then kinda wobbles to the side then starts falling but puts an arm down on the ground to catch herself but the rolls down on the ground with her arms resting on her head and the entire Portland bench jumps up calling for the ref to stop the play and she does.

"And Y/n Krieger is down again and guys I don't know about you but to me she just looks down and out. This is not good for Portland who's already used all their subs, and it's certainly not good for the team to loose such a valuable player as we've all seen Y/n become loosing her to an injury would be a major blow to this team. We certainly hope that this isn't anything serious but it is a good sign that she can walk off the field with the assistance of the trainers and Y/n Krieger leaves to the tunnel and Portland will play with 10 for the last 5 minuets plus stoppage" the announcer says and I feel I tear run down my face and Ash wipes it away.

"Hey it's ok she'll be fine she's probably just very fatigued" she says and I nod

"I know I just wish I was there with her" I say looking down as Ash rubs my back, the Thorns end up winning due to a late goal in stoppage time from Lindsey and they go to post match interviews. But only one thing is on my mind and that's Y/n and if she's not I'm personally gonna kick Jaelene's ass for fouling Y/n left and right.

Y/n's pov

"Look here" the trainer says moving the flashlight right and I follow it with my eyes

"And here" they say moving it to the left and I follow it

"Alright Y/n do you feel dizzy at all when you stand or have any nausea at all" he asks

"Nope"

"Alright are you having trouble seeing?"

"Nope"

"Okay Y/n I need you to stand up and balance on one foot for a minute" he says and I do then he has me switch to the other leg.

"Okay and can you walk heel to toe from this side of the room to that side and back?" He says and I do so.

"Okay well the good news is you don't have a concussion, the reason you nearly passed out is probably from fatigue and dehydration so make sure you get a good night sleep tonight and make sure you drink a lot of water" he says handing me a water bottle and I grab it thanking him. I get up to leave but Allie, Tobin, Lindsey, Sam, Lynn and Crystal come into the room.

"You ok kid?" Allie asks and I smile and nod

"Yeah I'm good I don't have a concussion or anything but I'll probably have a nice bump on my head tomorrow" I chuckle and they laugh. I give hugs to Lynn, Sam and Crystal as they leave and we head back to the locker room to change. The girls are all glad that I'm ok and we celebrate for being the second team to defeat the courage. I grab my phone as it starts ringing and see Mom is calling so I step out of the loud room to answer.

Mom: Hey honey how you feeling? She says and I hear a lot of voices in the background asking if she was talking to me and for mom to put the phone on speaker and I guess she does because I hear quite a few voices yell through the phone.

Everyone: Hi Y/n! I laugh and say hello then mom takes it off of speaker

Me: I'm good mom I'll have a nice bump on my head tomorrow but other then that I'm fine.

Mom: Good I nearly had a heart attack when you went down and were barely moving then when you went down after going back on the field, geez kid you can't be scaring me like that

Me: yeah sorry didn't mean to flop like that I was just so tired and my head hurt.

Mom: do you have a concussion because you shouldn't be on the phone if you do.

Me: Hey you called me but no I don't have one the trainer said I'm dehydrated and fatigued so I guess I'll stay in tonight and play something with Allie and Tobin.

Mom: Well ok take care of yourself and would it kill you to call your mother more I feel like I barely hear from you. I laugh

Me: Mom I call you like every other day and if not you I call Ash, Alex or Syd.

Mom: Ok watch the sass little girl. I smile and shake my head at her teasing tone

Me: ok mama will do, I love you

Mom: Love you too honey I'll see you next week.

Me: Alright bye mom

Mom: bye honey

I hang up and smile knowing I'll be back home in a few days for our game against Orlando. We arrived home and Tobin goes to show but she said Allie will be here around 5 and I see that it's 3:30. I decide to call Moe to see if she got over what she was upset about and surprise surprise she didn't answer shocker. I sigh and think about our fight and how I can make it up to her and I smile when I get an idea.

I go on instagram to pass time and I see that Ash posted a picture with a puppy

I like the picture and keep scrolling until I hear the doorbell and I go to answer the door and see Allie I smile and let her in. We all end up spending the night playing smash bros. I won most of them using Luigi, Allie decides to spend the night and crash in the other bedroom and I head to mine and as soon as my head hit the pillow I fell into a deep sleep.
