Y/n's pov

It's been a few weeks and mom is finally back home so I left syd's house. We won our games over the weeks that mom was gone, Syd and I crushed being up top together it was amazing but I guess since everyone who left for international duty is back I'll be on the bench.

We're currently wrapping up our practice with our cool down lap and once I finish coach calls me into his office.

"Please Y/n take a seat" he says so I do

"Look Y/n as you know we have quite a few forwards on the team and with you yourself being one you know that not all of you will be getting play time, with that being said the board and I have decided to continue this season using our more experienced members as they are our best shot at winning the league." He pauses for a moment and I let his words sink in and I slowly nod.

"Now I would hate for young talent to be wasted by sitting on the bench so I have loan listed you and we've already got quite a few offers from other teams." He says

"What teams?" I ask

"Sky Blue, Washington, Seattle and Portland so far. You don't have to decided at this very moment I want you to think it over and talk it over with your mom and I want you to let me know where you want to go by the end of the day. Of course since you'll be on loan the contact will go through the entire season unless we choose to recall you early." He says and I nod and look down.

"Hey cheer up kid lots of the all time greats got loan listed their first season and when they came back they were a whole new player, this can be a very great experience for you!" He says smiling. I nod thanking him letting him know that I'll call later to let him know my decision.

I walk out of the room and let out a sigh I walk to the locker room, change then meet mom and Ash at the car. The whole ride home I was silent while mom and Ash bantered about who knows what. We pull up to the house and I grab my bag from the back but when I walk up the steps of the house I see someone sitting on the stairs. Mom and Ash catch up to me and see what I'm looking at and mom pushes me behind her.

"What do you want Adam" she says while glaring at the guy. He looks up and looks directly at me and smiles.

"I came to talk to her" he says pointing at me

"Well that's not gonna happen so get off of my property before I call the cops" mom says with venom in her voice. I look at Ash and see that she's glaring at Adam as well.

"You know I believe I have the right to talk to her Alexandra" Adam said and my eyes widened at the use of my moms full name.

"No you don't you lost that right 17 years ago and you know damn well why you lost those rights Adam" she says and I grab Ash's arm

"I have the right to see my daughter Ali" he spat and my stomach felt like a tight knot. Daughter, I'm his daughter? No that can't be right mom always said dad wasn't a good man at all, I don't feel too good.

I squeezed Ash's arm tighter and she turned to look at me and I guess she noticed my face and next thing I knew I was dizzy and starting to fall.

*3 hours later*

I vaguely hear voices and I groan and I guess whoever it was noticed because they stopped talking. I feel a cold rag on my head and I slowly open my eyes and see mom and Ash lightly smiling down at me.

"What happened?" I ask

"You fainted, I guess you were under a lot of stress? Lucky I caught you before you hit the ground kid." Ash says and I nod and look at mom

"Is-is he really my dad?" I say and she looks away and doesn't say anything I sit up.

"Mom is her really my father?" I say in a slightly more demanding tone and she looks at me with watery eyes and slowly nods. I look down and process this information the I look back up at her.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked and she shook her head

"I thought if I told you what he was like you wouldn't ask any more questions about him I didn't think that he would come here and try to see you, I thought I was protecting you by not telling you" she said with a team falling down her face. I see Ash get up and give us some privacy which I appreciated. I wipe away moms  tear and hug her and we sit in the position for a while. I pull back and look at mom.

"I understand why you didn't tell me and I'm not mad or anything. I love you mom" I say and she kisses my head.

"I love you too Y/n."

"Um I also need to talk to you, so coach told me that since they have so many veteran forwards on the team they don't really need me so the board and him talked and felt like the best option was to loan listed me." I say and her eyes widen.

"Oh wow I don't even know what to say, um do you have any offers yet?" She says and I nod

"Sky Blue, Washington, Seattle and Portland" I say she nods.

"Well as a mother I don't want you to leave" she pouts and I laugh lightly.

"But also as a mother I want you to succeed and if that means that you need to go your own way I will accept that" she says and I nod

"Do you have any idea where you want to play at?" She asks and I nod

"Yeah I do Tom told me to call him when I made my decision" I say and she nods and gets up walking into the other room

"Well I'll let you have some privacy" she says and disappears. I take a deep breath and call Tom.

"Hey Y/n did you make your decision?" He says

"Yeah I did and I want to play for..."
