Ever since the incident that happened a few weeks ago I've asked to be traded back to the nwsl and I was part of a big 3 way trade and I ended up in Chicago playing for the red stars. Y/n and I have been going strong we've been calling and texting everyday with her making sure that I'm ok and I think I am, I still have a few nightmares about it but that's all they are nightmares Y/n saved me and I couldn't be more thankful. She save not just me but my sanity.

Y/n's pov

I'm buzzing off the wall because we are 3rd in the nwsl and we have this game against sky blue and if we win we're in the playoffs. I'm currently playing Mario kart with Tobin on the couch and I'm trying to think of a way to ease into a conversation with her. Eh fuck it

"Tobin when are you gonna tell Alex you like her" I say and she chokes causing me to raise my eyebrows.

"Uh what I don't know what you're talking about, when are you gonna ask out Moe" she tries to change the topic

"Uh huh sure you don't and by the way Moe and I are official." I smirk

"So back to the topic at hand you and Alex, talex if you will, when's it gonna happen?" I ask and she sighs

"I don't know Y/n/n I'm not even sure she likes me in that way" she sighs

"Ok I'm going to hit you with some advice like I hit Alex with some advice." I say pausing the game and she looks at me skeptically

"You gave Alex advice?" She says

"Yes I can be an adult and give life advice when need be now shh." I say and she puts her hands up in defense

"Ok Tobin things happen for a reason servando  being an ass and cheating on her gives you the opportunity to love Alex the way she needs to be loved, the way that I know only you can do. Anyone can see the love you have just for her just by the way you look at her. I know Alex loves you and I know you love her but you can't let fear stop you from being with her, because all that time you spend being afraid is a whole lot of time your wasting not being with her the way you should be. Someone once told me that you have to treat your love like you're jumping off a rope swing because love is really just a shot in the dark and that you have to love like there's no such thing as a broken heart." I say and she stares at me

"Ok so maybe you can give some decent advice" she says and I smile

"I just hope you take my decent advice and ask her out because you both deserve to be happy" I say and she smiles

"Now lets go get ready to win our game" I say getting up grabbing my soccer gear and she does the same and we drive to the stadium. We walk into the locker room to find our teammates talking about how close we are to the playoffs. We go out and play winning 2-1 and I smile all though I can't help but feel sad for sky blue they haven't won a game all season. We shake hands with the team and we all celebrate in the locker room

"WE'RE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!" I yell and everyone cheers. I see that the courage, reign, pride, red stars, dash and the royals also are in the playoffs and I call mom.

"Mom we made the playoffs" I say excitedly and she laughs

"I knew you guys would I'm so proud of you!" Mom says and I smile

"So I need your help with something mom"

"What's up"

"We need to get Tobin to admit her feelings for Alex"

"What do you need me to do"

"Well since we're at the playoff stage all teams have a week off so I need you to convince Alex to come to Portland and I'll handle the rest"
