I wake up feeling hands wrapped around my waist and then I remembered why. Yami was finally home. This fact is slowly starting to sink into my brain. I'm so excited. It feels like it's a dream, but I know it's not, that it's actually real.
As much as I don't want to, I have to move. I momentarily forget I have a daughter waiting for me in the next room. I quietly slip away from him and make my way towards the door. I turn the knob and crack the door just enough for me to leave without making too much noise. I decide not to shut the door to make anymore noise. I pad down the hall to Hana's room.
I gently open her door and peer in. Hana lies there in her crib staring around the room. Looks like she's awake for a while. Good. I want Yami to be able to see that she has his eyes. I walk over to her crib and lean against it. "Hi Hana. Whatcha doing baby girl?" I coo. I know she can't actually answer me, but she always smiles and giggles in her cute little baby garble. I love it when she does that. It's so cute and innocent.
I reach for her and hold her in the air just slightly above my face. I smile at her and she baby smiles back. "Guess what Hana. You're going to get to meet your daddy today." She just stares at me for a moment, obviously not understanding what I mean by that. Her gaze then turns away from me. Now what is she looking at? Yami was still asleep when I left. Maybe it's just grandpa coming to check on her for me like he likes to do. "Can I hold her?" I hear his voice from behind. I stand corrected. I bring Hana to chest level and turned to face him.
My face lights up when I see him reaching out to hold her. I grin whole heartedly and nod my approval. "Her name's Hana." I said, remembering to tell him her name. Yami smiles. He must like the name I picked. Yami takes Hana from my arms and cradles her in his. "She's beautiful aibou." He smiles lovingly at her. "Hi little one." Yami coos. "I missed you." He says, gently rocking her from side to side. I caress her dangling arm, filled with love and joy. "She has your eyes you know." I add. Yami then looks at her more closely. His smile widens. "She does, doesn't she." I stand there watching in pure bliss.
Hana didn't cry like I felt like she would. Instead, she was happy and curious. Yami laughs and plays with her in his arms. I'm over joyed how well this is going. I hope it stays like this. For right now, everything is perfect.

Yami sighs, content.
Yugi- I loved watching the two of you bond.
Yugi grins happily.
Me- Well, we should get going so you two can have some more family time together.
Yami- She's right aibou. I want to spend more time with you and the baby.
Yami smiles and Yugi nods in agreement.
