Okay so from now on the stuff that Lithuania would think or want to say will be Italicized. It just makes reading easier. Enjoy!

--------------------------------

Poland sat in silence, looking at how the doctors were checking on Lithuania, talking between each other. With every minute he grew more scared and anxious, scared of what he could hear.

Lithuania seemed to slowly grow aware of where he was, even though he was still following every move of every person, confused. He did follow the orders of the doctors so he must have been aware of what was happening at least a bit.

Finally, after something that felt like hours, one of the doctors turned to Feliks and asked him if he could step out of the room with them for a minute. That was the moment that Poland knew that it all could not end well, he had to know what they would say but he was scared of it a lot. He simply just nodded and got up from his chair and opened the door.

The hallway was very bright, there were people running back and forth, disappearing in rooms or just sitting in the hallway, waiting for something or someone. Poland did not want to hear what the doctor would tell him, he was very scared.

The doctor could tell that Feliks was scared but decided to continue anyway. He told him that Lithuania was alright. That he was more and more aware of where he was and what was happening. He also said that they soon would be able to leave the hospital.

Yes, all of those things were good, they gave hope, but Poland could not do anything but worry about what the doctor could say next.

Then he got to the diagnosis. He said that Lithuania would not be able to speak the same way as he did before. That for now, he would not be able to make a sound at all and it could stay that way forever. Of course, they could not be sure and they could be wrong, but even if they were, all that Lithuania would ever be able to do is whisper. His throat was so damaged in the process that it was hard for them to try and save anything that was left from his vocal chords.

Feliks felt worse and worse. He did expect the worst that could happen but somewhere in the back of his head, he still hoped for something different. He was simply nodding his head and listening.

The doctor continued, he said that he should not feel devastated. That there were ways for Lithuania to speak again but it would never be the same. He explained that the best way was to use a speaking device and that Toris could learn to use it very fast. He also said that Feliks should be the one who tells Lithuania everything, that he should be next to him and take care of him. He also gave Feliks a notebook and a pen so that Lithuania could write down anything that he wanted to say. The doctor then left, leaving Feliks alone, allowing him to get used to the thought and calm down enough to be able to come back to Lithuania.

Feliks tried to convince himself to be positive, he questioned how on Earth he would be able to tell Lithuania his verdict as how to make it sound as calm and as positive as it could. His mind was racing, still unable to concentrate on one thought at once. His heart was beating fast, his legs felt weak, he was trying not to cry. He wanted to go back to Lithuania as fast as he could but he was too scared to do it.

After a couple of minutes, he regained some of his inner strength and went inside. He slowly came closer to the bed. He immediately caught Lithuania's attention as his green eyes followed his every move.

He slowly sat down on the edge of the bed and looked at him, smiling.

- Hi. - He said, trying to sound as cheerful as he can, helping Lithuania sit up.

Lithuania returned the smile but it felt very sad and forced.

- Please listen. - Poland started, taking a deep breath and closing his eyes. - You cannot speak. - He said in fear of his partner's reaction. - You were in a coma for months after someone attacked you. - Feliks was still observing Lithuania's reactions. - They said that you may never be able to use your voice again. - That was the moment Feliks noticed tears that started streaming down Lithuania's face. - Please don't cry. - He came closer and hugged Toris, wiping off his tears. The Lithuanian also hugged him, hiding his face in the other's sleeve. - It will all be alright. - Feliks tried to convince the both of them that this statement was true. - There are other ways for you to speak. - He continued. - Here. - He said putting the notebook on Lithuania's legs. - You can write anything that you want to say! - The cheerful tone did not work. Toris would not stop crying. - Please look at me. - He said trying to convince him
